Barbara's Bookstore in University Village hosted a reading from several authors, all of featured works that centered on cultural themes. Authors included: Malinda Lo, author of Huntress (a hero's quest that focuses on lesbians); Claudia Guadalupe Martinez, author of her debut novel, The Smell of Old Lady Perfume; Nnedi Okorafor, author of Akata; and Cindy Pon, author of Silver Phonenix.
