Chicago, IL -Pride Films and Plays announces eleven short films from nine different countries receiving their Chicago premieres during Queer Bits Fall Film Festival II at the Public House Theatre ( 3914 N Clark ) on November 9th, 2015. Because of the quality and number of films submitted, the evening will be — for the first time — divided into an A and B program, with tickets available for each, or for the entire evening.

Pride Films and Plays' Queer Bits Fall Film Festival II will include an affirming drama about a trans man struggling to be himself, a hilarious thriller about two women working in a morgue, a touching drama about a boy whose father is compelled to wear burkas, a sexy look at a lesbian couple dealing with the aftermath of a threesome, a sweet comedy about ageing drag queens, a searing story about the possibility of sexual fluidity within same sex friendships, and much more!

Another Party With Scotty

Another Party With Scotty

The evening will also include the finale of Chicago filmmaker Dan Pal's trilogy, Scotty & Josh. The first two films, Scotty Works OUT and Scotty and Josh Get Enlightened have each been screened at previous Queer Bits Film Festivals. We can't wait to see how the story wraps up with Another Party With Scotty and Josh.

The evening will be split into two one-hour programs. Program A begins 7:30PM and will be followed by a talkback with Chicago director Dan Pal who created the Scotty and Josh series. The second screening will commence at 9:00PM. The Public House Theater bar will be open beginning at 6:30PM. Please come early and have a drink with us!

Warning: some of the short films contain adult themes, language, and brief nudity. You are going to love them!

Tickets for the complete evening of programs are $15. Tickets to each individual program are $10. Student and Senior tickets are also available for $5 for each program or $8 for both. Tickets can be purchased at www.pridefilmsandplays.com or by calling 1.800.737.0984.

Queer Bits Film Festival kick off Gay Film Week which continues on November 13-15 at Center on Halsted's Hoover-Leppen Theatre with staged readings of the five finalists of Pride Films and Plays' Great Gay Screenplay Contest. Visit www.pridefilmsandplays.com for more information and tickets.
