Purrfectly Authentic

Living Purrfectly Authentic™ is not as easy as one would like for it to be. Discovering who you are, spending quiet introspective time wrestling with the constant thoughts and memories in your head of lives present and lifetimes past is a daily challenge. As you step onto the road of really getting to know yourself, recognize and dissolve your inner demons, attempt to live from a place of spirit, you are constantly challenged.

Do you remember the movie the Matrix? It would be so easy to live inside of the Matrix. You could be anyone you want to be. You could claim entitlement to all that you want based on your experiences, hurts and pains and you can point the finger of blame everywhere else other than yourself in order to justify your behavior. You could play the victim, you could make excuses for not owning up to your own issues because, that's just how you are. This is how we normally behave if we have not been given the tools to live otherwise. It's so easy to do ... this world is full of self-deceptive techniques and philosophies as well as people who take advantage of people by using these techniques.

Every day we are bombarded with new ideas of who to blame for our current life situation instead of being taught that the truth in our current state is a result of our life's choices. This is a huge disservice to all as it allows for the masses to delude themselves about who is ultimately responsible for their well being. I find myself struggling on a daily basis with wanting to grow closer to my truth while at the same time wanting to bring those close to me into awareness as well. This has sometimes been an uplifting, and at other times painful, position.

You see the world as we know it is not a friendly place. And even living Purrfectly Authentic™ doesn't guarantee you a life of positive thoughts, vibes or energy. You are still required to function, to live in a world surrounded by the majority of the people that continue to walk around with their eyes closed. I remember hearing a scripture from the Bible when I was a child, 'Be in the world but not of the world.' This made absolutely no sense to me at the time. However, the more I delve deeper into my psyche while getting closer to the truth of my spirit, I realize exactly what the scripture was saying.

Living Purrfectly Authentic™ requires you to take the high road; to look at your fellow man ( still struggling internally with the very things that you struggled with ) and have compassion. You are taught that you should look beyond the person's behavior and look at their spirit. At certain times this is easy and others it is a great challenge. You find that the very thing that you thought you healed from, let go ... seems to get reactivated by others' unconsciousness. If we were all able to go into seclusion until we reached the spiritual level needed in order to have this compassion, life would be a lot easier. What we are tasked to do is to learn to live in this world, among those that are not walking the same path as we are and somehow not be affected.
