E3 Radio is planning a party with a purpose. In 2013, Anna DeShawn founder of E3 Radio wanted to do
something different to celebrate her birthday. She decided to start the Purple Tie Affair to raise
money for her favorite nonprofits. Over the last two years the proceeds have gone to benefit Affinity
Community Services, the Church Within a Church Movement, and Project Fierce. We are happy to
announce that the proceeds from this year's event will go to benefit the Youth Empowerment
Performance Project ( YEPP ).
The event takes place on August 27th at SideTrack Video Bar ( Rooftop ) located at 3349 N.
Halsted. Doors open at 7pm for VIP guests. General Admission begins at 8:00pm. VIP tickets are
$35 and General Admission are $25. You can purchase your tickets from
bit.ly/PurpleTieBuyTix .
Kicking off the night for our VIP guests is R&B Soul vocalist Jurni Ryane. Jurni is an up and coming
artist flying in from Los Angeles to grace us with her voice and guitar. We are also having Cyon
Flare, activist and performer, co-hosting the event and performing her music. There will be a variety
of raffle items for people to choose from as well; i.e. beautiful artwork, custom jewelry, and queer
designed clothing lines. H'ordeuvres, music, and dancing will fill the night as we party with a
purpose. Come, enjoy, and give to YEPP all at the same time.
