—At the Chicago Equality Rally on Sunday, June 11, at the Andersonville Midsommarfest, speakers will address the anniversary. Speakers will include Kim Fountain, Center on Halsted; Emmanuel Garcia, Vives Q/Crossroads Fund; Candace Gingrich, Human Rights Campaign; Kim Hunt, Pride Action Tank; Brian C. Johnson, Equality Illinois; Brother Michael C. Oboza, Bisexual Queer Alliance of Chicago; Channyn Lynn Parker, TransLife Center-Chicago House; Ava Santos-Volpe, Ava's Change4Youth; and Rabbi Rachel Weiss, Jewish Reconstructionist Congregation. —A candle-lighting vigil and sunset bell toll honoring each life taken at the Pulse shootings in Orlando, Florida, is scheduled at Center on Halsted, 3656 N. Halsted St., on Monday, June 12, 6-7 p.m. Among those slated to speak are Chicago Commissioner on Human Relations' Mona Noriega, Association of Latinos/as Motivating Action's David Gauna and Carlos Fragoso, Lakeview Presbyterian Church's Pastor Joy Douglas Strome and Mike Morales of Chicago UCF ( University of Central Florida ) Alumni chapter. —ALMA will, on June 23, co-host a pre-Pride event with Puerto Rican Arts Alliance ( PRAA ) at PRAA's headquarters at 3000 N. Elbridge Ave. at 6-9:30 p.m. That event includes a remembrance of the Pulse shooting. See ALMAChicago.org . and PRAAChicago.org .

—The concert "Pulse," featuring WCPA's combined ensembles of Windy City Gay Chorus and Windy City Treble Quire, is performed at 5 and 8 p.m. Saturday, June 17, at First United Methodist Church at the Chicago Temple, 77 W.
