Chicago-based designer Borris Powell revealed his fall/winter 2010 "The Rise of an Empress" collection March 19 at the Millennium Knickerbocker Hotel. His trip to Rome inspired the theme and tone of the collection, adding in a statement that "the pieces translate a sense of ancient grace and glamour to the modern women I design for who want to feel beautiful and sexy." This past February, Borris Powell was the only U.S. designer featured in the LGN Events' "A La Mode Catwalk Show" as part of London Fashion Week's off-schedule program.
