Berwyn, IL (August 2012) - Reel Art Collectibles is pleased to announce a special in-store appearance by the Queen of Black Cinema: Pam Grier. September 6th 2012 from 5 pm to 7 pm. Ms Grier will be signing copies of her autobiography FOXY: A Life in Three Acts as well as posters and photos—Ms Grier will charge for her autograph and photos.

Ms Grier became famous in the early 1970s, after starring in a string of successful women in prison and blaxploitation films such as 1974's Foxy Brown. Her career was revitalized in 1997 after her appearance in Quentin Tarantino's film Jackie Brown. She received a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actress. She has also been nominated for a SAG as well as a Satellite Award for her performance in the iconic film Jackie Brown. She received an Emmy Award nomination for her work in an Animated ProgramHappily Ever After: Fairy Tales for Every Child. Rotten Tomatoes has ranked her as the second Greatest Female Action Heroine in film history. Director Quentin Tarantino remarked that she may have been cinema's first female action star.

Ms Grier is coming to Reel Art through a special arrangement with the HOLLYWOOD SHOW autograph and collectible show where she will be appearing Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at the Hilton Rosemont / Chicago O'Hare Airport Hotel, 5500 North River Road Rosemont IL 60018. REEL ART is the largest collectible dealer in Chicagoland. It has recently opened a retail in Berwyn at 6727 W. Stanley. It's the only store of its kind in the area, with movie posters, comic books, rare books and vintage toys. Store owner, Cory Glaberson, began collecting at an early age with a great passion for finding unique memorabilia. 20 years ago he created Reel Art, travelling across North America and Europe buying and selling vintage items, and now he has settled in Berwyn for the company's first retail outlet.
