PM&L Theatre ( Palette, Masque and Lyre, Inc. ) will hold auditions for the Pulitzer Prize-winning Angels in America: Millennium Approaches, by Tony Kushner, on Monday-Tuesday, March 9-10, at 7 p.m.
Auditions will be held at PM&L Theatre's Tribute Hall, 877 Main St., Antioch. Callbacks, if needed, will be held Wed., March 11, at 7 p.m.
Auditioners will be reading selections from the script, and are urged to arrive 15 minutes early to fill out audition paperwork. They should be prepared to list any date conflicts for rehearsals and performances, and should be comfortable with staged intimacy, strong language, and adult themes.
PM&L Theatre will be presenting Millennium Approaches, the first part of Tony Kushner's epic Angels in America: A Gay Fantasia on National Themes. The play is set in New York City during the mid-'80s and introduces the story of a gay man who abandons his partner when he contracts the AIDS virus, a pill-popping Mormon housewife and her closeted husband, who has connections with the infamous McCarthy-ite lawyer Roy Cohn.
