Oh, Jesus!
Seeking salvation from the onslaught of pop-culture excess

OK, boys and girls, get ready to launch your lunch!

The good people over at NBC have decided to, get this, 'Grace' us with Will and Grace: Let the Music Out!, due in stores September 14. I know what you are thinking: they play such great music on that show, it's about time they put it out for us to add to our audio library.

Oh, wait. Music has nothing to do with the show, you say? How wrong you are. For instance, did you know that in addition to being a mediocre actor, Eric McCormack (Will) is also a mediocre songwrtiter? And in the ultimate exercise of mediocrity, McCormack can be heard singing his new magnus opus 'Living With Grace' in a duet with none other than Barry Manilow.

Other gems include 'He's Hot!', which is billed as 'featuring memorable lines from the show set to a funky beat.' Maybe I'm just growing cynical in my 'old' age, but I cannot imagine any self-respecting queer outside of Cousinfuck, Iowa calling this good music. But, to each his own.

If you must, it will also be available on . Hey, there's no such thing as bad press. I will personally give $100 cash to anyone over the age of fourteen who can tell me who these people are. A few years back, some show business wunderkind discovered that you can make alot of money by combining blonde hair, youth and tits (notice talent was not part of that original equation.) So they broke out the cookie cutter and now the pop-culture landscape is infested with the blonde menace. The Molly Ringwalds and the Ally Sheedys of the world actually had to act for their supper. And they all had an original look. Those days are long gone, my friend. To borrow from an oft-used analogy, after the big bomb there will only be roaches and Hilary Duff. At least one of the Olsen twins had the foresight to develop an eating disorder/coke problem. Now that's entertainment!
