About Occupy Chicago: Occupy Chicago is made of Chicago, and most importantly, Americans, gathering together in solidarity to exercise the Constitution-guaranteed rights of free speech and peaceful assembly. Occupy Chicago helps to fight corporate abuse of American democracy.

About Chicago Afrobeat Project: Chicago Afrobeat Project has been kicking out upbeat dance music across the country for more than nine years. The groups' repertoire consists predominantly of original afrobeat music and has been known to slip in an afrobeat cover of unique tunes from time to time. You might hear them perform Fugazi's "Waiting Room" or perhaps hear them slide up the energy level on Fela Kuti's "Just Like That" by pulling melodic and rhythmic lines from Radiohead's "I Might Be Wrong." Its forthcoming record "Nyash Up!" features afrobeat versions of songs from The Talking Heads, Led Zepplin, Ceu, Ken Vandermark and other artists.

About Get Up With The Get Downs: Initially Formed on Halloween 2008 as a one-off project, Get Up With The Get Downs eventually evolved into a full time band. They cover mostly golden era (1960's,1970's) James Brown. They have now started to branch out into other funk artists like Renaldo Domino and such. Their live shows are a full on force of high energy funk mixed with garage rock leanings.
