In support of LGBTQ History Month and National Coming Out Day, Hyatt joins forces with Human Rights Campaign to celebrate LGBTQ equality advocate Jim Obergefell, co-author of Love Wins: The Lovers and Lawyers Who Fought the Landmark Case for Marriage Equality at the Hyatt Regency Chicago on Oct. 11, 2016 from 5-7 p.m.
Obergefell, with Human Rights Campaign Senior Regional Field Director Lynne Bowman and diversity consultant Eric Lueshen, will discuss the fascinating and moving story of the groundbreaking Supreme Court case that led to one of the most important national civil rights victories in decades: the legalization of same-sex marriage. Guests will have the opportunity to ask questions during a live Q&A session with Obergefell, Bowman and Lueshen.
Obergefell will be signing copies of his book immediately following the program. Books will be for sale by Unabridged Bookstore, or guests may bring their own copies.
The event is free of charge, open to the public. Space is limited and RSVPs are required at EventBrite.com . Users can find the event by searching "Love Wins" in the Chicago area.
Doors open at 5 p.m. and there will be a cash bar reception. |
