From a press release

Announcing Nothing Without a Company's 2016-2017 Season: CHANGE. Change is an act that is both challenging and satisfying; Nothing Without a Company is currently changing, cultivating, and growing to leap forward into a new era of planting theater around Chicago.

They state: "This season, our focus shifts to the changes not only within our company, but the changes present in the lives of queer individuals in the city and the community at large. Our passion to produce revolutionary acts of art in new and reclaimed environments lends the spotlight to these stories of metamorphosis."

[Trans]formation

Devised by Ronen Kohn, Darling Squire, Avi Roque, Gaby Labotka, and Kevin Sparrow

Directed by Company Member Gaby Labotka

Co-produced by The Living Canvas, this world premiere is devised from the works of and performed by transgender/genderqueer/intersex/non-binary artists. Designed and directed in the style of The Living Canvas, nude performers embody the expressive power and diversity of the human form under evocative projections to reveal, instead of conceal, every body's beautiful possibility. [Trans]formation explores the naked truth of gender identity.

Opening Thursday, November 17th 2016

Closing Saturday, December 17th 2016

As the couples confront the changes in their lives, secrets come out, friendships are tested, and identities are challenged.
