On Saturday, October 31, The Northalsted Business Alliance hosts the inaugural Ruby Red Relay to benefit the AIDS Foundation of Chicago and Out in the Open Sleep Out, a first of its kind overnight sleep out to raise visibility and funds for youth experiencing homelessness.
Out in the Open Sleep Out, an event of the newly formed Pride Action Tank, benefits 19 organizations that work to provide stable living environments for youth. The event takes place on Friday, November 20 at Cricket Hill near Montrose Beach.

"Our Halloween celebrations are not complete without components of giving back to the community. While campy and fun, The Ruby Red Relay raises awareness about this vital issue impacting our LGBTQ family, in particular.
As part of a day-long Halloween celebration, the race takes center stage at 3 pm at Halsted and Aldine. Teams, from businesses throughout Boystown, will sport high heels and exchange relay attire at four stops down Halsted, with a finish line at Cornelia.
Nine local businesses raised funds and will field teams in the event: AFC ( Steamworks )
DS Tequila, FFC ( Fitness Formula Club ), Hydrate, MB Financial, mEat, minibar, Progress Bar, Roscoe's.
