Fewer than three weeks before Dance for Life is slated to take place, the organization announced the appointment of Kesha M Pate as executive director.
Pate previously operated her own firm, Ahsek Media, offering consulting and project management services to for-profit and nonprofit organizations.

Joining the Partner Dance Companies that perform each yearGiordano Dance Chicago, Hubbard Street Dance Chicago and The Joffrey Balletare Chicago Dance Crash, Chicago Human Rhythm Project and Ensemble Espanol Spanish Dance Theater. The concert features a work in tribute to late dancer, choreographer and instructor Claire Bataille, choreographed by Robyn Mineko Williams, and concludes with a finale that Randy Duncan choreographs.
Co-chairs for the 28th annual Dance for Life are Tom Ferguson Gomez and Mark Ferguson Gomez.
