Ndegeocello in Chicago, Evanston March 24-26

Out musician Meshell Ndegeocello will perform in Chicago and Evanston on March 24 and 26.

She is slated to perform at Chicago's Promontory, a restaurant/music venue at 5311 S. Lake Park Avenue West, on Saturday, March 24, at 7 and 9 p.m. Admission is $28-$58 each; visit PromontoryChicago.com and https://www.eventbrite.com/e/meshell-ndegeocello-tickets-43043718922.

In addition, she will perform at Evanston's SPACE, 1245 Chicago Ave., on Monday, March 26, at 7 and 9:30 p.m. Tickets are $28-$75 each; visit http://evanstonspace.com/.

Her latest CD, Ventriloquism, features Ndegeocello's takes on R&B and pop songs like "Private Dancer," "I Wonder If I Take You Home," "Waterfalls," "Atomic Dog," "Tender Love" and others.

Some of her previous albums include Plantation Lullabies, Bitter, Peace Beyond Passion, and Weather. Her hits include "Wild Night," a duet with John Mellencamp, and her self-written "If That's Your Boyfriend ( He Wasn't Last Night )."
