The Museum of Contemporary Photography ( MoCP ), 600 S. Michigan Ave., will host the exhibition "Disruptive Perspectives" through Friday, Dec. 22.
"Perspectives," according to the museum's website, "explores gender, sexuality, and identity. The artists included use photography to articulate an expansive range of identities that cannot be sufficiently characterized using simplistic binaries.
"Rather than rendering identity as fixed, the works on view consider gender and sexuality as negotiations that are shaped by the human psyche, the passage of time, and the complex relationship between self and other."
Artists include Zackary Drucker and Rhys Ernst, Alexandre Haefeli, Laurence Rasti, Jess T. Dugan, Leonard Suryajaya, Lorenzo Triburgo and Barbara Davatz.
