In the latest issue of InStyle, Carrie Bradshaw herself, Sarah Jessica Parker, hinted that the Sex and the City story may not yet be finished, according to a Huffington Post item. "A part of me thinks there is one last chapter to tell," Parker told the magazine. "But timing is a peculiar thing. It isn't a decision that can wait forever. I don't want to have to wear muumuus!" Parker's "Sex" co-star Kristen Davis has also commented on the possibility of a third Sex and the City.
Julia Roberts said she twice turned down her role on the upcoming HBO film The Normal Heart, but that producer/director Ryan Murphy refused to listen, according to TheWrap.com . At a Television Critics Association panel, Roberts said, "When Ryan asked me to play this character and I said no, I don't think he heard me." The HBO movie, slated to air in May, will co-star Mark Ruffalo, Matt Bomer ( who lost 40 pounds for the role ), Jim Parsons and Taylor Kitsch, among others.
In other "Normal Heart" news, HBO has commissioned a script by Larry Kramer for a potential sequel to the film, Deadline.com reported. The Normal Heart director Ryan Murphy, who spearheaded the effort to make the play into a movie, would be back at the helm, with the film's stars Mark Ruffalo, Julia Roberts and Jim Parsons expected to return.
One day before the Oscar nominations were announced, the Golden Raspberry ( or Razzie ) nods have been revealed, according to People magazine. Up for this year's 34th annual Razzie Awards—to be presented March 1, the night before the Oscars—are some A-Listers, including first-time nominees Johnny Depp, Naomi Watts and Selena Gomez, as well as 31-time nominee Sylvester Stallone. Nominees for Worst Picture include After Earth, Grown-Ups 2, The Lone Ranger, A Madea Christmas and Movie 43.
P!nk brings the "The Truth About Love Tour: Live From Melbourne" to fans on DVD, Blu-Ray and digital long form on Tuesday, Jan. 21, according to a press release. The 110-minute concert was filmed during the Australian leg of the tour, in Melbourne. Pulling from her seven-album repertoire, the show includes some of her biggest hits, such as "Blow Me ( One Last Kiss ),"F***in' Perfect," "Try," "Raise Your Glass," "So What" and "Just Give Me A Reason."
Several cast members from TLC's hit reality show Here Comes Honey Boo Boo were injured in a minor car accident, according to Entertainment Weekly. Castmates Alana "Honey Boo Boo" Thompson, Sugar Bear, Mama June, Pumpkin and Jessica were involved in an accident in Georgia—and it was reportedly the first time any of the family has been in an car accident. Season three of the show begins Jan. 16.
Odyssey Magazine has named MISTER Best Gay Adult App, edging more established sites such as Scruff and Grindr, according to a press release. Colorado Avalanche team captain Gabriel Landeskog is the latest professional athlete to speak on behalf of the You Can Play Project, according to The Sacramento Bee. With this development, the National Hockey League has become the first professional sports league in North America to have each of its member teams represented by players voicing support for LGBT athletes and fans. Landeskog, the Avalanche's 21-year-old team captain, has been named to the Swedish Olympic hockey team.
The Coachella 2014 music festival will take place in Indio, Calif., on April 11-13 and April 18-20. According to USA Today, both Outkast and The Replacements are reuniting to perform at the event. Actress Meryl Streep criticized Walt Disney for alleged sexist and anti-Semitic views at the National Board of Review awards gala in New York, according to the L.A. Times. Streep was there to present a award to Emma Thompson for her portrayal of the prickly British author and Mary Poppins creator P.L. Travers in the new film Saving Mr. Banks, which dramatizes Disney's efforts to persuade Travers to adapt her books into a musical. After acknowledging Thompson's talent, Streep called Disney "a gender bigot," saying that "some of his associates reported that Walt Disney didn't really like women." ( Incidentally, according to Entertainment Weekly, the movie doesn't deal with Travers' bisexuality or adopted son. )
Broadway in Chicago has announced that Rodgers + Hammerstein's Cinderella—the 2013 Tony-winning Broadway musical from the creators of South Pacific and The Sound of Music—will play the Cadillac Palace Theatre Dec. 16, 2014-Jan. 4, 2015, according to a press release. Cinderella has music by Richard Rodgers, lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II, a new book by Douglas Carter Beane and an original book by Oscar Hammerstein II. Mark Brokaw is the director and Josh Rhodes is the choreographer.
The all-male Shakespeare's Globe productions of Twelfth Night and Richard III have recouped their $3.1 million capitalization costs, according to Playbill. Richard III and Twelfth Night, which are performed in repertory, officially opened Nov. 10 at the Belasco Theatre. Two-time Tony winner Mark Rylance heads the all-male casts; among the other actors are Stephen Fry, Angus Wright and Paul Chahidi.
Original Broadway cast members from the short-lived Boy George musical Taboo will gather for two 10th-anniversary concerts at the New York nightspot 54 Below on Feb. 8, Playbill noted. The event will benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. Boy George ( who received a Tony nod for the score ) appeared as Leigh Bowery in the 2003 musical that Rosie O'Donnell produced on Broadway.
Emails and memos reportedly sent between executives at BET appear to support transgender media personality B. Scott's allegations that the network discriminated against him, according to Advocate.com . Scott filed a lawsuit against the channel last summer, charging that the network discriminated against him on the basis of his gender identity by literally pulling him off the red carpet at its annual awards pre-show and demanding that he change into more masculine attire. BET music programming president Stephen Hill allegedly wrote before the event, "I don't want 'looking like a woman' B. Scott. I wanted tempered B. Scott."
Openly gay film director Bryan Singer is returning to the Sundance Film Festival, as the man helming The X-Men: Days Of Future Past has been named as one of this year's jurists at the Utah-based festival, according to Deadline.com . Additionally, the fest revealed that Nick Offerman and Megan Mullally will front the Feature Film Awards ceremony Jan. 25 in Park City. The fest's 30th anniversary edition runs Jan. 16-26.
While swimming in Hawaii, actress Anne Hathaway was injured ( and reportedly almost drowned ) when she got caught in a riptide, TMZ reported. A local surfer heard her screams and raced out to rescue her; then, on the way in, Hathaway cut her foot on a reef. Once on shore, husband Adam Shulman took over and sucked possible toxins out of her toe.

A copy of the Ben Stiller film The Secret Life Of Walter Mitty that began popping up online recently was traced back to The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Deadline.com reported. Producers on the syndicated talker are working with Mitty distributor Fox to investigate the matter but they are not sure if they are the source of the leak. The DVD was made for DeGeneres and her staff as background for her interview with the film's star and director Ben Stiller that aired in early December. The movie itself came out on Christmas Day.
Lea Michele has a breakdown in the music video for her new single, "Cannonball," which she said has helped her deal with the loss of her boyfriend and Glee co-star, Cory Monteith, according to TheWrap.com . "For me, it's been my strength," Michele told MTV about the song. "I listen to it every day. I know it was brought into my life for a reason." Talk-show host Katie Couric has responded to the reactions that her recent questions to trans entertainers Laverne Cox and Carmen Carrera generated, according to Advocate.com . Couric said that while she realized the questions may have felt inappropriate, she felt it was important to make sure the "teachable moment" made it to broadcast. Chicago drag queen Trannika Rex has invited Phil Robertson—the star of the TV show Duck Dynasty who has been embroiled in a public debate on free speech after uttering anti-gay remarks in an interview with GQ Magazine—to one of her shows. Rex ( who has offered to pay Robertson's air fare to Chicago ) will host "Trannika's Most Wanted: Tuck Dynasty" on Jan. 20 at Scarlet Bar in Lakeview. Trannika Rex told Windy City Times on Jan. 12 that she had not yet received a reply from Robertson, his personnel or the TV network.
In celebration of Glee's 100th episode, Chace Crawford ( TV's Gossip Girl ) will make an appearance on the show, E! News reported. "I think he's going to be Dianna Agron's new love interest," Matthew Morrison, who plays Will Schuester on the hit series, told E! News. Morrison added that he and Kristin Chenoweth will be singing a Pink song together on the episode. The two-part episode—which will also see the returns of Amber Riley, Mark Salling and Harry Shum Jr.—will air March 18 and 25.

The hotel heiress has dabbled with DJing in recent years, and she is also planning to resurrect her singing career. Hilton will play a four-gig residency at The Pool at Harrah's Casino in Atlantic City as part of a deal that is said to be worth around $100,000 per show.
Holler If Ya Hear Me, a new musical featuring the music of rapper Tupac Shakur, will open on Broadway at the Palace June 19, CNN reported. Written by Todd Kreidler and directed by Tony nominee Kenny Leon ( who will also direct Denzel Washington in this season's forthcoming A Raisin in the Sun revival ), Holler If Ya Hear Me is an original, non-biographical story about two friends in the inner-city in the Midwest.
Tony-winning Broadway producers Stewart F. Lane and Bonnie Comley have formed BroadwayHD to bring the Great White Way to the multiplex, according to TheWrap.com . The first venture is their Broadway production of William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet—which stars Orlando Bloom—which will run on roughly 400 theaters during a week-long run timed to Valentine's Day under a partnership with distributor Screenvision.
