The Home Depot at 1232 W. North Ave. hosted a customer appreciation workshop event featuring Martha Stewart Oct. 11.
Housed in a dressed-up tent in the parking lot, attendees enthusiastically participated in an interactive workshop to learn how to transform rooms in their homes to reflect their own personal style with affordable and easy changes.
During the evening two local families selected from Twitter prior to the event served as revamping examples when pictures of one room from each of their homes was displayed in its current state and then in a digital rendering of how it would work with Stewart and her team's suggested adjustments.
Stewart, founder of Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia Inc., also shared some decor tips on how to help achieve the perfect look for any room through color, carpeting and other furnishings, and also focused on a few solutions to home décor issues. A Q&A session held toward the end also enabled excited guests to get some personalized advice for any decorating questions and concerns.
The first 100 event attendees received a $5 Home Depot gift card and an autographed copy of Martha Stewart Living magazine.
