ame-sex marriage advocates won a legal battle in Bermuda Nov. 23 after the country's government attempted to have the Court of Appeal define marriage as between a man and a woman only, The Royal Gazette reported.
The court dismissed the government appealed former Chief Justice Ian Kawaley's 2017 ruling that allowed same-sex marriage.
However, the government may apply for the matter to be heard via the Privy Council in Britain within the next 21 days. If the council agrees to hear the case, the body could grant a stay.
