'Out and Proud!' July 28 at Davenport's
Melissa Young and Nick Sula will aim to take local audiences on a tour of the LGBT-rights movement in "Out and Proud! A Rainbow Celebration" on Thursday, July 28, at Davenport's, 1383 N. Milwaukee Ave., at 8 p.m.
The event will be a benefit for The Center Orlando.
Starting with Stonewall and Judy Garland, Young will match icons to significant moments in LGBT history during the event, which will also include songs by Bette Midler, Dolly Parton and Diana Ross, among others.

Lollapalooza lineup announced
Radiohead, J. Cole, Lana del Rey, Ellie Goulding, rapper Future, LCD Soundsystem and Red Hot Chili Peppers are among those headlining this year's Lollapalooza festival that will take place July 28-31 in Grant Park.
This year marks the festival's 25th anniversary.
Among the dozens of other acts are St. Lucia, Griz, The Front Bottoms, Wolf Alice, Jackal, Flatbush Zombies and Alessia Cara.
One-day tickets are on sale now. VIP, platinum and hotel packages are also available.
Pitchfork lineup announced
Carly Rae Jepsen, Savages, Sufjan Stevens, Miguel, Neon Indian, Brian Wilson and FKA Twigs are among the acts slated to perform July 15-17 in Union at the Pitchfork Music Festival, The Chicago Tribune reported.
Pitchfork will return for its 11th year in Union Park, where it typically draws sell-out daily audiences of 18,500.

Writers' museum to
open in Chicago
The American Writers Museum ( AWM ) announced that Penguin Random House has committed financial support to AWM, recognizing the importance of celebrating U.S. writers.
AWM will open March 2017 at 180 N. Michigan Ave., in Chicago. As the nation's only museum of its kind, AWM is expected to attract more than 120,000 annual visitors of all ages.
The museum will highlight the personal stories and literary works of U.S. writers with themed galleries, interactive exhibits, educational programs and special events. Additionally, the AWM Affiliates Program is collaborating with more than 50 author homes museums around the U.S. to collectively strengthen the American literary story.
