WESTERN SPRINGS, LA GRANGE, BROOKFIELD — The Indivisible groups of Western Springs ( and Surrounding Communities ), La Grange/La Grange Park, and Brookfield are formally announcing their endorsement of Marie Newman for Congress for the 3rd Congressional District on Tuesday, February 13 at 10 a.m. at Cafecito in La Grange. Newman is running to unseat the seven-term incumbent in the March 20 Democratic primary.
Marie Newman shares the values and priorities of the local communities represented in these Indivisible groups. Newman advocates for healthcare for all, a $15 minimum wage, a reproductive rights, and respect and equal rights for all regardless of race, religion, gender, and/or sexual orientation. She has pragmatic ideas to boost small businesses, support infrastructure in the district, and create job training to plan for jobs of the future.
Marie Newman represents the progressive values embraced by the Indivisible movement within the 3rd District and will take those values to Washington to fight for our communities. Marie Newman will be joining Indivisible groups for a formal press event announcing this endorsement and future collaborations, including putting boots to the ground and canvassing for Marie Newman. We are running this race with her.
