As recognition of same-sex marriage grows the Chicago Public Library presents Love Me Forever! Oh! Oh! Oh! by cartoonist Jeremy Sorese. In this engagingly illustrated exhibit, Sorese, a gay man, explores the idea of getting married. Selected from The Best American Comics 2013, Love Me Forever! Oh! Oh! Oh! is on display through March 8, 2015, in the Congress Corridor, Ground Level, at the Harold Washington Library Center, 400 S. State St.
Twenty states now recognize same-sex marriage and the United States Supreme Court recently decided to let stand rulings that allow same-sex marriage in several additional states, dramatically expanding the movement for legalizing marriage equality unions across the nation. Faced with a decision he had not previously believed possible, Sorese uses his parents' heterosexual marriage as a model to contemplate the benefits and downfalls of marriage.
