Legendary Broadway producer dies
Legendary Broadway producer Martin Richards has died at the age of 80, according to NY1.com .
Richards was part of the New York City theater scene for more than a half-century, producing shows such as On the Twentieth Century, Sweeney Todd and La Cage aux Folles. Richards produced the original Chicago musical on Broadway, and won an Academy Award as a producer of the film version in 2003. In addition, he and his wife were involved in founding Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.
