Touche, 6412 N. Clark St., will team up with Leather64TEN, 6410 N. Clark St. to present the 11th annual Leather Eye for the Preppy Guy makeover contest, to benefit Vital Bridge's Groceryland Pantry. This year's contest will be held Friday, April 29 at Touche. The contest begins at 11 pm, with the winner announced at midnight.
Along with over $500 in leather gear from Caliber Leathers, the winner will also receive a pair of tickets to the International Mr. Leather 2016 Contest, to be held Sunday, May 29.
The Groceryland Pantry serves PWAs across the northside, providing food and personal care items to their many clients. During the holiday season, the pantry receives huge donations of non-perishable food and other supplies. By springtime, the Pantry's shelves begin to hold less, making this benefit crucial to keep them stocked and serving their clients.
Donations of non-perishable foods and personal care products will be collected during the Leather Eye contest. There will also be raffles during the night, with prizes including Touche gift bags, gift certificates from Leather64TEN and much more. Admission is free, but cash donations will also be accepted.
Contestant applications are available at Touche and Leather64TEN. A $10 contestant entry fee will be donated to the Groceryland Pantry and each contestant will receive a gift bag. Entry forms must be submitted by 10 pm, Thursday, April 28.
