Gerber/Hart Library & Archives, 6500 N. Clark St., will host the launch of the exhibit "Lavender Women and Killer Dykes" on Saturday, Oct. 12, at 7 p.m.

"Lavender Women and Killer Dykes" reflects the culture that lesbian feminists created in Chicago during the 1960s, '70s and '80s.

The exhibit curators and Dr. A. Finn Enke—professor of history and gender and women's studies at University of Wisconsin-Madison, and author of Finding the Movement: Sexuality, Contested Space and Feminist Activism ( 2007 )—will provide opening night remarks.

The exhibit will be open through March 2020, and will be free after opening night.

Tickets for the Oct. 12 event are $15 each; visit GerberHart.org .
