Lakeside Pride Symphonic Band presents Suite of Old American Dances, written by Broadway orchestrator and arranger Robert Russell Bennett. Be prepared for the next themed episode of Dancing with the Stars by hearing this collection of familiar dance tunes: Cake Walk, Schottische, Western One-Step, Wallflower Waltz, Rag. A selection from Stravinsky's passionate Firebird, Grainger's interpretation of Molly on the Shore, an Irish reel, and the energetic Russian Sailor's Dance, will also be performed.
