LGBTQ mental-wellness event May 18

Award-winning stand-up comedian and writer Sampson McCormick will return to Chicago Saturday, May 18, at the Baton Show Lounge, 4713 N. Broadway, at 4 p.m., for an event that will feature a performance and film screening.

The event—titled "Jokes, Flix and Heal"—will focus on mental and emotional wellness among Black gay men and in the Black LGBTQ community.

In addition, there will be a special guest appearance by Darryl Stephens ( Noah's Arc; Boy Culture ).
