LGBT homelessness panel Nov. 19
University of Chicago's new RSO Queers United in Power will present "Action & LGBTQ Homelessness: A Panel Discussion" at The University of Chicago's Center for the Study of Gender and Sexuality, 5733 S. University Ave., on Wed., Nov. 19, at 7 p.m.
This event will help to spotlight the action that is currently being done in Chicago with regards to the intersectionality of queerness and homelessness, with representatives from TransLife Center, the Night Ministry, and Windy City Times.
The panelists will discuss the successes and challenges of their work as well as what college students can do to help stand in active solidarity.

Midwest LGBT-rights leaders in Chicago
CHICAGOEquality Illinois is convening leaders from Midwestern LGBT-equality organizations to a conference to tackle serious challenges in an uncertain political and judicial climate.
The meeting is closed to the media, so Windy City Times will not be able to report from the conference.
The state leaders are meeting Thursday and Friday, Nov. 13-14, at the Godfrey Hotel in Chicago.
Illinois and Equality Federation representatives will be joined at the conference by LGBT equality leaders from Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Minnesota and Missouri.
