CHICAGO, IL (March 6, 2012)Mayne Stage proudly announces comedian Hal Sparks. Ticket are currently on sale and can be purchased by calling (866)468-3401 or online at www.maynestage.com .

Act One Pub opens at 11am for St. Patrick's Day serving $5 bloody Marys and Mimosas, $5 Jameson drinks, $4 Guinness, $7 Irish Car Bombs and Corned beef specials. Live music from 1pm-8pm. Blugrass band Sexfist headlines Mayne Stage at 8 p.m.

Thursday, September 6 at 8 p.m.

Friday, September 7 at 8 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.

Saturday, September at 8 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.

Actor/ comedian Hal Sparks returns to Chicago for a five- show engagement at Mayne Stage. Sparks began his professional career in Chicago as a member of the famed Second City. Sparks went on to host the Emmy-award winning "Talk Soup" on E! Entertainment Television, winning rave reviews from fans and critics alike. For five seasons, he co-starred as Michael Novotny on the hit Showtime series, "Queer As Folk," based on the controversial and critically acclaimed British series. Sparks is one of the star commentators of the VH1 hit pop culture series, "I Love The 90's," "I Love The 80's," "The 80's Strike Back, ""I Love The 70's" and "I Love the New Millennium." Sparks stars in standup Showtime special "Charmageddon" this June. Sparks currently stars in the #1 Disney XD show, "Lab Rats."

Chicago based Honky Tonk band The Lawrence Peters Outfit opens.

Califone's Jim Becker's prject The Paulina Hollers are direct support. The Paulina Hollers recently opened for Wilco last December.

Ensemble of Ragas School of Performing Arts and Las Guitarras de Espana Present Surabhi: A Melting Pot of Musicat Mayne Stage, Friday March 9. This collaborative endeavor has a delectable line-up of music and dance numbers including Indian, Flamenco and Arabic beats that promises to be a connoisseur's delight. The evening will feature original acoustic instruments - Arabic Oud, Spanish Flamenco Guitar, Senegal Drums, Jazz guitar, Indian Veena, Mridangam, Tabla, Ghatam, and Latin drums. The idea of the program is to take the original art forms representing multiple regions of the world and present in a refreshing light to a global audience - on one stage to one people, to make one community. Come and show your support to this extraordinarily talented group of artists who passionately believe in creating lively world music that will keep you riveted. The evening will begin with a live interview and Q&A by Catalina Maria Johnson. Catalina Maria Johnson is the host and producer of the radio program/podcast Beat Latino, as well as feature writer for Revista Contratiempo, Arte y Vida and Gozamos. Catalina also contributes features on the Latino arts to WBEZ (Chicago Public Media).

Windy City Performing Arts presents Windy City Gay Chorus and Aria in "Broadway And Beyond: An Evening of Broadway Benefit & Concert" - a dazzling night of music, fun, and entertainment to benefit Windy City Performing Arts. Under the direction of Stephen C. Edwards, Artistic Director, join Windy City Gay Chorus and Aria for an exciting evening featuring a concert performance of memorable hits from Broadway's past and present, a sensational silent auction, a spectacular appetizer and dessert reception with cash bar, fabulous prize drawings, surprises -- and more!

Windy City Performing Arts is the independent not-for-profit umbrella organization for Windy City Gay Chorus and Aria. The choruses perform a variety of musical styles from classical to pop, with a history of performing major choral works and commissions. Windy City Performing Arts celebrates diversity, honors creativity, and cultivates pride through the transformative power of music and the arts.

Mayne Stage and Act One Pub are located at 1328 and 1330 W. Morse Avenue in Rogers Park, Chicago. With a nod to the historic past of this grand facility, the venue and pub deliver the best in food and entertainment to Rogers Park.
