The organization expects to accept its first round of nominations this summer, and induct its first honorees at a ceremony Aug. 2.
The Daytime Emmy nominees have been announced, and CBS earned the most nods with 50, including 23 for the soap opera The Young and the Restless, according to OnTheRedCarpet.com . PBS received 44 nods, including 17 for Sesame Street. The talk show to earn the most Emmy nods is the Ellen DeGeneres Show, with 10. The show will be broadcast on HLN Sunday, June 16.

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is to play the lead in a new HBO pilot, according to Digital Spy. The star will reteam with his Pain & Gain co-star Mark Wahlberg (serving as executive producer) for the half-hour comedy drama, which follows a team of retired Miami athletes. A U.S. magistrate judge sentenced Grammy-winning hip-hop artist Lauryn Hill to three months in prison, three months in home confinement and a $60,000 fine for federal tax evasion, according to Yahoo! Australian film director Baz Luhrmann wants to team up with actor Leonardo DiCaprio for a third timethis time in an adaption of Hamlet, the New York Post reported. "To me, [The Great] Gatsby [which stars DiCaprio] is the American Hamlet. What else could we possibly do as a follow-up?" Luhrmann told the Hollywood Reporter. Luhrmann directed 1996's Romeo + Juliet, in which DiCaprio and Claire Danes played the title roles.
Following the recent announcement that his latest Broadway foray, a revival of Orphans, will close early due to sluggish ticket sales, Alec Baldwin went online to criticize the New York Times critic who panned the play, according to Eonline.com . Ben Brantley, the Times' chief theater critic, not only called Orphans a "limp revival" but described Baldwin's part in it as "a mutating cartoon of a performance, with only hints of the requisite menace." Out singer George Michael has reportedly just wrapped up a two-month stint in Australian luxury drug and alcohol rehab clinic Sanctuary, according to Musicfeeds.com .au. Michael reportedly sought treatment for emotional anxiety and various other health concerns, and it was also reported that the 49-year-old singer's partner, Fadi Fawaz, stayed with Michael at one of facilities' luxury houses. Last September Michael cancelled his Australian tour due to suffering from "major anxiety."
