The Edgewater Chamber of Commerce will host its annual International Women's Day Crawl throughout various women-owned businesses along Broadway's northern corridor between Granville and Thorndale avenues on Sunday, March 8, 11 a.m.-2 p.m.
This event supports women's rights by celebrating Women's Day with Edgewater's many women-owned businesses within the community.
This fundraising event will donate a portion of its ticket sales to the local nonprofit Loom Chicago in spirit of the global movement's message of #EachforEqual. Loom Chicago is a fiber arts social enterprise with Catholic Charities Refugee Resettlement Program.
Among the participating businesses are Farm Bar, Chicago Mosaic School, Edge of Sweetness, Bark Bark Club and Ethiopian Diamond. ( More will be added closer to the event date. ) Other women-run businesses providing hands-on activities this year the crawl stops are SmackDab, Greenstar Brewery, Work +Shelter and Loom Chicago.
