Washington, DC — Victory Institute — the nation's only LGBTQ organization dedicated to building a pipeline of LGBTQ elected officials at the local, state and national level — will bring together more than 400 LGBTQ elected officials, advocates and other leaders to strategize next steps in the movement for LGBTQ equality. The three-day conference will feature more than 140 LGBTQ elected officials — including Danica Roem and other newly elected trans officials responsible for 2017 being the Year of the Trans Candidate. Additional keynote speakers include U.S. Senator Cory Booker, U.S. Senator Tammy Baldwin, Congresswoman Maxine Waters and former Houston Mayor Annise Parker.
The 2017 conference theme is Representation is Power — with the conference agenda revolving around plenaries, breakout sessions and networking opportunities designed to help LGBTQ leaders harness and wield that power in 2018.
The 2017 International LGBTQ Leaders Conference will take place Wednesday, Dec. 6 through Saturday, Dec. 9 at the Washington Hilton, 1919 Connecticut Ave. NW, Washington, D.C. 20009
