On Monday, June 18, the Chicago Gay and Lesbian Hall of Fame will present its annual Pride and Joy Reception from 6 p.m. to 10 p. m. at Circuit Night Club, 3641 N. Halsted St. Tickets are $20 and available from board members of Friends of the Chicago Gay and Lesbian Hall of Fame, from current Hall of Fame inductees, and at the door at Circuit.

The evening will feature a buffet of heavy hors d'oeuvres. The 2011 Hall of Fame exhibit will be on display, and nomination forms for 2012 inductions are available online at our website (www.GLHallofFame.org). Entertainment will be provided by members of the Circuit Night Club cast.

Money raised from this event will be used to cover the expenses of the 2012 Chicago Gay and Lesbian Hall of Fame induction ceremony, which is scheduled for November. The ceremony is free and open to the public. In addition, a portion of these funds will be earmarked to support the Hall of Fame's website. The Chicago Gay and Lesbian Hall of Fame's featured sponsors for the 2012 season include Phil Hannema, Absolut Vodka, Rick Aguilar Studios, Boi Magazine, Center on Halsted, Circuit Night Club, House of Blues, International Mr. Leather, J&L Catering, Napleton's Automotive Group, Miller Lite, Rémy Martin V, Sidetrack, Supergurl Images, Waveland Bowl, and Windy City Times (list still in formation).

The Chicago Gay and Lesbian Hall of Fame is privately funded through generous donations from individuals, businesses, organizations, and fundraising through our not-for-profit 501(c) (3) organization Friends of the Chicago Gay and Lesbian Hall of Fame. Staff support is provided by the Friends'various committees and a host of volunteers. Chicago is the only known municipality that so honors its LGBT residents. The Hall of Fame not only pays tribute to individuals and organizations but also documents the LGBT communities' heritage and diversity through its annual publication and on its website.

Individuals, businesses, and organizations that wish to donate can do so through our website (www.GLHallofFame.org) by clicking on the DONATE button. Additional information is available through contact with Israel Wright at 312-401-8893 or the Chicago Gay and Lesbian Hall of Fame at 773-281-5095. Contributions may also be sent to the Chicago Gay and Lesbian Hall of Fame, 3712 N. Broadway #637, Chicago IL 60613. Make checks payable to the Friends of the Chicago Gay and Lesbian Hall of Fame.
