The Bouqs Company ( Bouqs.com ): This company delivers flowers fresh from eco-friendly, sustainable farms around the world to doorsteps nationwide. The Valentine's Day Bouqs are available in a variety of sizes ( original, deluxe or grand ) and prices are $50-$90 ( including shipping ). Trust me: The flowers are gorgeous.
Wet for Her ( WetForHer.com ): Proclaiming that the products are "crafted by women, for women," Wet for Her is exactly what you probably think it isand, again, it's something that a special couple would consider for Valentine's Day. The site specializes in toys and other items to make those intimate encounters even more memorable ( on Feb. 14 and beyond ).
Mister Maginsky ( MisterMaginsky.com ): On the flip side, this site creates what it calls "the world's most logical men's underwear" ( making it intimate and practical ). The underwear employs a patented solution that separates the two traditionally male parts in a way that promotes active flexibility and bodily hygiene. ( In other words, the twins are separate from the king, and the king gets his own room. ) Fortunately, the underwear also looks pretty cool.
The Ace Hotel ( AceHotel.com ): The Ace Hotel Chicago, 311 N. Morgan Ave., is spreading the love this Valentine's Day with a special room code ( available now through Feb. 28, although blackout dates may apply ). "CHOOSELOVE*" offers guests 10 percvent off their reservations, with 10 percent donated to charity partner Choose Love. The UK-based organization is the brainchild of Help Refugees and Glimpse, and the first retail store that sells items for shoppers to purchase for refugees.
Unsolved: The Murders of Tupac and The Notorious B.I.G.: While definitely not Valentine-themed, this is worth recommending. This 10-episode, scripted true-crime limited series ( debuting Feb. 27 on the USA Network ) chronicles the dual police investigations of Detective Greg Kading ( Josh Duhamel ) and Detective Russell Poole ( Jimmi Simpson ) into the controversial murders of two of the rap industry's most legendary players, Tupac Shakur ( Marcc Rose ) and Christopher Wallace, AKA The Notorious B.I.G. ( Wavyy Jonez ). Emmy winner Anthony Hemingway ( The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story ) directed.
