First Chicago Jewish Film Festival thru June 29

JCC Chicago presents the first Chicago Jewish Film Festival ( CJFF ), "Through a Jewish Lens," through June 29, held at The Music Box Theatre, the Cinemark/Century in Evanston and the Illinois Holocaust Museum, with other performance events at Chicago's Victory Gardens and at the Mayer Kaplan JCC in Skokie.

Featured films will include: The Pin ( 2013 ), a view of Holocaust survival; Before The Revolution ( 2013 ), the untold story of the Israeli paradise in Iran; and A Precious Life ( 2010 ), the story of an Israeli doctor, a Palestinian woman and a journalist seeking treatment for her baby.

This year, BA plans to create an even bigger and better celebration of storytelling, art and community. To achieve this goal, BA is asking people to contribute to the crowd-funding campaign on the website, Indiegogo.com .
