The Houston Chronicle reports that police have arrested the father of Britney Cosby, one half of the lesbian couple found murdered in Galveston County, Texas last week. The body of Cosby's partner of two years, Crystal Jackson, was found with her by a dumpster.

James Cosby is charged with two counts of tampering with evidence, the Chronicle reported. He is being held on $500,000 bail.

He and the two women are all from Houston.

Jackson, 24, had a 5-year-old daughter, Zaniah. Britney Cosby was also 24, and they were a couple since Feb. 24, 2012. ( Cosby's first name has been listed in several ways by media and on Facebook: Britney, Brittney and Brittany. )
