Miramax Home Entertainment presents Frida, on DVD and available to rent on VHS June 10, winner of TWO ACADEMY AWARDS‚ for Best Original Score and Best Make-Up, 2002. Starring Salma Hayek and an all-star cast, Frida chronicles the life of Frida Kahlo, Mexico's most famed female artist. This saga was nominated for six Oscars‚ including Best Actress Salma Hayek. On DVD, Frida includes a full slate of bonus materials in a 2-disc DVD set, including feature commentary from Oscar-winner Elliot Goldenthal (Best Score), commentary with director Julie Taymor, programs on the real-life Frida Kahlo, and much more. Frida was directed by Julie Taymor, and written by Clancy Sigal, Diane Lake, Gregory Nava and Anna Thomas.

Frida chronicles the life of famed artist Frida Kahlo (Salma Hayek) from her humble upbringing to her rise to international fame, capturing the life of an amazing woman and artist who conquered her own limitations and earned the respect of the world. This stunningly beautiful film embraces the turbulence that surrounded both Frida and her husband, the artist Diego Rivera (Alfred Molina). Ashley Judd also has a small role—and gets to kiss Salma.
