For the event, 100 percent of all craft beer, liquor, wine, and food sales at Links from open to close ( 11:30am until 2am ) on Sunday, October 1 will be donated to the Chicago House and Social Service Agency that serves the LGBTQ+ community ( www.chicagohouse.org ) and Chicago location of The Young Center For Immigrant Children's Rights ( www.theyoungcenter.org ). Links owner/beer director Mike Quinlan, a proud member of LGBTQ+ community, will personally match the total amount of money raised at Links that day.

Last year, Links hosted a similar fundraiser to honor the victims and all those affected by the Pulse nightclub massacre with a massive fundraiser for two LGBTQ+ charities in Chicago and Orlando that was held during Gay Pride Day. Links donated 100 percent of all craft beer, liquor, wine, and food sales that day ( $8,000 ) and Quinlan matched the amount raised and donated an additional $8,000 of his own money to the charities.

For this year's event on Sunday, October 1, Links with work craft breweries such as Pipeworks, Half Acre, 5 Rabbit, Temperance, Dovetail, and many others to aid in the fundraising efforts via on-site raffles and silent auctions of rare beer memorabilia. All proceeds from the raffles and auctions will benefit the two charities.

Links is open from 11:30am until 2am Sunday thru Friday and from 11:30am until 3am Saturdays. The Links phone number is 773-360-7692, and its website is www.linkstaproom.com .
