Point Foundation Scholarships support the next generation of LGBTQ leaders through direct financial contribution toward the cost of education. Beyond that, each scholar is paired with a mentor and participates in leadership development programs and events. Point Foundation is the nation's largest provider of higher education scholarships to LGBTQ students.

The event will offer light snacks, cocktails, and good conversation at The Roof Crop, LLC, 1516 W. Carroll Ave., on May 23, 2019, from 6 to 8 p.m.

The event is free to attend. Attendees can also donate $500 to receive membership in Point's Cornerstone Society, a philanthropic group of individuals dedicated to helping to create a positive, lasting change in the LGBTQ community and the world through investment in education.

Register online to attend at pointfoundation.org/Chicago19 .

Sponsors are Exelon, Merrill Lynch Back of American Corporation, David & Nancy Napalo, Wells Fargo

Digital Media Sponsor: Edge Media Network and Rocketmiles.

Point Foundation empowers promising LGBTQ students to achieve their full academic and leadership potential — despite the obstacles often put before them — to make a significant impact on society. Since 2002, Point has awarded approximately 400 scholarships making it the nation's largest scholarship-granting organization for LGBTQ students of merit. The Foundation promotes change through scholarship funding, mentorship, leadership development and community service training. www.pointfoundation.org .
