Out actress Sarah Paulson has been cast in Ryan Murphy's new FX anthology series Feud, TheWrap noted. "Excited to announce Sarah Paulson will be playing legendary Oscar-winner Geraldine Page in FEUD," Murphy tweeted. The series will focus on famous feuds, as the title suggests, with the first season focusing on Joan Crawford and Bette Davis' animosity on the set of What Ever Happened to Baby Jane?; Jessica Lange will star as Crawford and Susan Sarandon will play Davis. Catherine Zeta-Jones will play legendary actress Olivia de Havilland, who was a friend of Davis in real life.

Speaking of Paulson, she is reportedly in talks to join the cast of Warner Bros. Ocean's Eight, TheWrap noted. Gary Ross will direct the spinoff of Steven Soderbergh's Ocean's Eleven trilogy; the spinoff's cast also includes Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, Anne Hathaway, Rihanna, Helena Bonham Carter, Awkwafina and Mindy Kaling.

Kanye West is quite the fan of out musician Frank Ocean's new album, Blonde, TIME noted. West took to Twitter to sing his praises and to encourage "every [radio] station across the globe" to play Ocean's new music "at least 10 times a day." "Radio has to support amazing artists," West said. He also referred to himself and Drake; they're both fans of Ocean, and receive their fair share of airtime.

The Human Rights Campaign ( HRC ) honored actor Colton Haynes ( Teen Wolf; Arrow ) with the HRC Visibility Award at the 17th Annual HRC Seattle Gala and Auction on Aug. 27, a press release stated. "Colton Haynes has inspired countless LGBTQ young people across the country and around the world to live their lives as their authentic selves," said HRC President Chad Griffin before the event. "By simply being open about who he is, Haynes is helping to break down barriers and tear down closet doors. We are pleased he will be joining us at the 17th Annual HRC Seattle Gala, and we are proud to honor him with the HRC Visibility Award."

Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson and singer Ciara moved their wedding from North Carolina because of the state's controversial so-called "transgender bathroom law" HB2, according to a Sports Illustrated item that cites The Knot. The two would eventually be married in London, after deciding against having the ceremony in Paris at the same time as Fashion Week. Wilson has recently been outspoken on his belief that athletes should use their status to promote social change.

United Soccer League suspended Orange County Blues midfielder Richard Chaplow two games, as well as fining him an undisclosed amount, for allegedly using "offensive and abusive language" toward LA Galaxy defender Robbie Rogers, Queerty noted. Rogers claims Chaplow used a homophobic slur against him, a charge he denies. Rogers, who came out in February 2013, is Major League Soccer's only openly gay athlete.

Former Disney actress Bella Thorne has come out as bisexual, Page Six noted. She revealed that she's bisexual when she replied "Yes" to an inquiring fan. The question may have been prompted by the 18-year-old actress' Snapchat story that featured photos of her kissing another woman. Thorne recently spilt from boyfriend Gregg Sulkin after dating for a little more than a year.

Ruby Rose in single again, Page Six noted, citing People. The former Orange Is the New Black actress and girlfriend Harley Gusman have split after more than two months of dating. Rose, 30, and Gusman, who is the VP of marketing at skincare company Truly Organic, were first spotted together in June, when they dined at Hollywood eatery Katsuya. Prior to romancing Gusman, Rose was briefly linked to singer Halsey after she and fiancee Phoebe Dahl called off their engagement last December.

Kelly Osbourne recently joined the host committee for the first-ever TransNation Festival, a transgender film festival and beauty pageant slated for Oct. 20-22 in Los Angeles, and she recorded a PSA for the event, a press release stated. See TransNationFestival.org .

Bounce entertainer Big Freedia was sentenced to three years' probation and fined $35,000 by a federal judge Aug. 25 after admitting to bilking the federal government out of housing aid, Page Six noted. The 38-year-old artist pleaded guilty in March to the theft of federal Section 8 housing voucher funds and had faced up to 10 years in jail. Attorney Vinny Mosca noted that the performer, whose given name is Freddie Ross Jr., has already made restitution of more than $34,000 and has taken steps to be a better role model, including working with Habitat for Humanity.

Sarah Jessica Parker announced that she is ending her relationship with Mylan, the manufacturer of EpiPen, after the company raised the price of the allergy injector again to over $500—a more than 400 percent hike since it started selling the product in 2007, People reported. In an Instagram post, Parker noted that her son, James Wilkie, requires an EpiPen for his peanut allergy, writing that the product "is a vital part of our family's healthcare, as it is for the many who are at risk." The small device filled with epinephrine—used in the case of life-threatening allergic reactions to peanuts, bees and more—cost just $57 in 2007.

Madonna surprised 400 fans at a 25th-anniversary screening of her 1991 documentary Truth or Dare, at NYC's MoMA, Page Six noted. The "Rain" singer arrived with daughter Lourdes, 19, to support the film's director, Alek Keshishian. It was once the highest-grossing doc ever, but has since been surpassed by concert films on Justin Bieber, Katy Perry and Michael Jackson.

The celebrity cast of Dancing with the Stars has been revealed as the 23rd season kicks off Monday, Sept. 12, on the ABC Television Network, a press release stated. Some of the celebrities include embattled swimmer Ryan Lochte, Olympic gymnast Laurie Hernandez, GOP figure Rick Perry, personality Amber Rose, performer Vanilla Ice, football player Calvin Johnson Jr., musician/producer Kenny "Babyface" Edmonds" and actress Marilu Henner.

Several notable LGBT individuals tweeted messages following the death of actor/comic Gene Wilder, Advocate.com reported. Neil Patrick Harris posted, "Gene Wilder passed away. Wow what a lovely career. Wonka, Dr. Frankenstein, Jim the Waco Kid... Sending strength to his wife of 25 yrs. #RIP," while Alec Mapa noted, "Gene Wilder the first man I ever fell in love with has died . He was my favorite actor. This is a sad, sad day." Wilder died Aug. 29 at age 83.

Chris Rock's 2008 HBO comedy special Kill the Messenger is raising eyebrows again after Delta Airlines pulled the show from its in-flight entertainment selections following a passenger's complaint about a bit that tries to explain when it's appropriate to use the word "faggot," Advocate.com reported. The customer, Grindr employee Jeremy Foreshew, was on a Delta flight from New York to Los Angeles last week when he found Rock's unedited special available for free in-flight viewing. "The Chris Rock: Kill the Messenger segment should not have been uploaded on flights based on our criteria for excluding onboard programming that includes content featuring explicit language, slurs, extreme violence and explicit scenes," the airline said in a statement.

GLSEN will honor Connor Franta at GLSEN's Respect Awards-Los Angeles to be held Friday, Oct. 21, at the Beverly Wilshire, Beverly Hills, a press release noted. The GLSEN Respect Awards—introduced in 2004 and held annually in Los Angeles and New York—showcase the work of students, educators, individuals and corporations who serve as exemplary role models and have made a significant impact on the lives of LGBTQ youth. Franta, an author and YouTube personality, will be honored for his commitment to youth welfare and LGBTQ advocacy.

Since its premiere two years ago, Cartoon Network's Steven Universe has made waves for creating a fun action-adventure series that also presents some deep messages for kids. It's also up for its second Emmy nomination this year for an episode that depicts a romantic relationship between two of its female characters, gemstones named Ruby and Sapphire. "It's very important to me that we speak to kids about consent, that we speak to kids about identity," creator Rebecca Sugar said at Comic-Con recently."I want to feel like I exist, and I want everyone else who wants to feel that way to feel that way too."

Following a sting operation conducted by police, Alison Carey, 55—the estranged sister of Mariah Carey—was arrested in upstate New York for "soliciting money in exchange for sexual favors," according to a local media outlet. Alison told police after the arrest that she was related to the Grammy-winning star, according to Saugerties Police Chief Joseph Sinagra, who spoke with a local paper. Sinagra described the woman as "transient."

Critics took to Twitter to express their disdain for actress Charlize Theron's parenting skills after she posted photos of her son dressed as Frozen's Elsa, NewNowNext.com noted. ( For their mother-son excursion, the young boy decided to wear a dress and a baseball cap with an Elsa-style braid attached at the back. ) The Monster actress has yet to respond to the criticism.

With the season-three debut of Empire just weeks away, the first two episodes of the Fox show's second season are at the center of a potential big-bucks class action lawsuit filed over filming at a Chicago juvenile detention center that left hundreds of underage inmates in "lockdown," Deadline noted. "The Fox Defendants deliberately encouraged the Government Defendants to improperly place the JTDC on lockdown during the filming of Empire, for commercial benefit," says the lawsuit from two now-former residents of the Cook County Juvenile Temporary Detention Center. This is one of a number of suits Empire is dealing with, currently.

For two weeks next May, supermodel/TV figure Tyra Banks will co-teach a class for MBA students at Stanford's School of Business, Page Six noted. The course is called "Project You: Building and Extending Your Personal Brand" and will focus on personal branding, with an emphasis on social media and communication. As for her style of teaching, Banks, 42, told the Wall Street Journal, "If I see somebody not paying attention, I'm gonna call on them."

In Miami, the Penthouse Residences at 1 Hotel & Homes South Beach, alongside Sony Music Latin, hosted a private listening party for the debut album of Univision's La Banda winners, CNCO with Ricky Martin, a press release stated. CNCO was there—and Martin made a surprise appearance. "La Banda" was produced by Simon Cowell, Martin and Saban Entertainment and judges included Latin-American singers Martin, Laura Pausini and Alejandro Sanz.

Jonathan Allen, an openly gay semifinalist of America's Got Talent's season eight, announced details of his brand-new single, "AMEN," which is available on iTunes, Spotify and other major digital distributors, a press release stated. David Beckham's 17-year-old son, Brooklyn, recently made a fashion statement on the way into a spin class in Los Angeles by rocking a pink gay pride tank top with the socks to match, TMZ noted. As for the shirt, it's from Palm Springs Gay Pride in 2011 so he may have just going for more of a retro look. Brooklyn is currently dating actress Chloe Grace Moretz, who's been vocal of her support for gay rights.

Comic actress Leslie Jones' battles with social media continue. TheWrap reported that hacker( s ) commandeered the Ghostbusters star's Tumblr account, posting personal photos from her iCloud account, which included several nude shots as well as pictures of her passport and driver license. Jones' phone number and the password to her Twitter account were also displayed. Recently, on Twitter, Jones was subject to racist and misogynist abuse from several people, including gay Breitbart editor Milo Yiannopoulos. Hillary Clinton was among those showing support for Jones.

Court records show Shannen Doherty has settled a lawsuit against her former business managers, who she accused of leaving her without health insurance and caused a delay in doctors diagnosing her with breast cancer, Page Six noted. The former Beverly Hills, 90210 star sued the accounting firm Tanner Mainstain Glynn & Johnson and one of its former partners in August 2015, alleging they mismanaged her money and allowed her health insurance to lapse in 2014.

Filmmakers Ava Duvernay and Steve James have been selected as keynote speakers for the Getting Real '16 documentary conference, Variety noted. The filmmaker—to—filmmaker conference, presented by the International Documentary Association and the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, will be held Sept. 27—29 at the AMPAS' Pickford Center for Motion Picture Study and other locations in Hollywood. The goal is to focus on the critical issues facing the documentary community.

Britney Spears is the latest to get the Lifetime biopic treatment, and the cable network has just set Australian actress Natasha Bassett to play the pop star in Britney, TheWrap revealed. Britney is a two-hour TV movie that will purport to tell the tumultuous story of the pop icon's rise to fame, fall from grace and eventual resurrection. Well-documented milestones in the singer's life—including her relationship with Justin Timberlake, marriage to Kevin Federline and public breakdown—will be included. The movie is slated to premiere next year.

Alison Brie ( Mad Men; Community ) will star in Netflix's female wrestling series G.L.O.W., Variety noted. The comedy hails from Orange Is The New Black creator Jenji Kohan, and is based on the 1980s league whose acronym stands for "Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling." The series will tell the fictionalized story of an out-of-work actress, played by Brie, who finds one last attempt to live her dreams in the form of a weekly series about female wrestlers.

Jennifer Lopez is poised to executive-produce a new legal drama at CBS, TheWrap reported. The series, which will also be executive produced and written by Michael Rauch, will focus on twin brothers who are both lawyers. Lopez is also starring and producing a new HBO movie based on the life of Griselda Blanco, the notorious cocaine trafficker.

It turns out that disgraced boy-band promoter Lou Pearlman ( *NSYNC, Backstreet Boys ) ied of bacterial endocarditis, an infection of the inner lining of the heart, The Orlando Sentinel noted. Pearlman near the Miami Federal Correctional Institution, where he was serving a 25-year sentence for fraud. The infection was caused by complications of an aortic valve replacement, although diabetes was listed as a contributing cause.

90210! The Musical!, the new Off-Broadway parody of the popular '90s teen soap Beverly Hills 90210, will begin performances on Sept. 8 at Theatre 80 in NYC, a press release stated. Writers/creators Bob and Tobly McSmith are also behind Bayside! The Musical!, Full House! The Musical!, Katdashians! The Musical!, Showgirls! The Musical! and JonBenet! Murder Mystery Theater!

Season seven will be the last for Freeform's Pretty Little Liars, Deadline reported. Freeform announced the news during a Facebook live interview with creator/showrunner I. Marlene King and cast members Troian Bellisario, Ashley Benson, Lucy Hale, Shay Mitchell and Sasha Pieterse. The final 10 episodes of the seventh season, airing in April 2017, will conclude with a two-hour series finale.

Dr. Drew Pinsky's run at HLN has come to a close, Newser noted. The network says in a statement that CNN and Pinsky "have mutually agreed" that after six years, Dr. Drew On Call will air its final episode Sept. 22. No reason was given for the move, but when CNNMoney reported it, it painted the cancellation as just "the latest in changes at HLN," which also recently announced the cancellation of Nancy Grace's show after 12 years. The Washington Post and other media noted the move came a week after Pinsky went on a radio show and said he's "gravely concerned" about Hillary Clinton's health

Polo hunk Nacho Figueras is hatching his next move after his contract with Ralph Lauren Black Label quietly ended in 2015 after 10 years, Page Six revealed. Figueras is still the face of Lauren's Polo fragrances and has close ties to the brand—but has reportedly told friends he could launch his own line.
