Orange Is the New Black may be an Emmy-winning show, but it's the Oscars the acclaimed Netflix series sends up in a new promo for the upcoming fourth season, NewNowNext.com noted. As the clip starts, Taystee bemoans how dull the Academy Awards are, declaring "even when white people TRY to be exciting they still bore me." The trailer also shows riot police descending on Litchfield, Gloria getting groped by a correction officer and Red giving viewers the evil eye. An all-new season of Orange is the New Black arrives June 17 on Netflix.

Ruby Rose—the tattooed Aussie actress who broke out in season three of Orange Is the New Black—has landed a gig with the cosmetics brand Urban Decay, The Hollywood Reporter noted. However, the company is not calling Rose its spokesperson or face—but its Most Addictive New Vice. In a release, the brand explains: "When Ruby Rose hit the scene, we were immediately hooked: With her bad-ss look, f—k-it attitude and playful spirit, she nails what it means to be feminine, dangerous and fun."

Eddie Redmayne may not have won his second Oscar at the Academy Awards for his role in The Danish Girl, but he did win the hearts of homeless LGBT youth when he toured the Los Angeles LGBT Center's Youth Center and joined about 70 youth experiencing homelessness for a large buffet breakfast, courtesy of Focus Features, according to TheFightMag.com . The youths had questions for Redmayne, and he had lots of questions for Center CEO Lorri L. Jean. He was particularly shocked to learn that about 40 pervcent of the youth experiencing homelessness in L.A. are LGBT or questioning. He was so impressed by the Center's services—particularly the success of the GED and employment programs—that he offered to record a short video message to promote support for the Center.

GLAAD will honor multi-platinum-selling recording artist Demi Lovato at the 27th Annual GLAAD Media Awards in Los Angeles at the Beverly Hilton on April 2, according to a press release. The GLAAD Media Awards recognize and honor media for their fair, accurate, and inclusive representations of the LGBT community and the issues that affect their lives. For the first time in nearly a decade, the GLAAD Media Awards will be televised exclusively on Logo in a one-hour special premiering Monday, April 4.

Does Star Wars director J.J. Abrams see a future for a gay character in the galaxy? "Of course," he responded at his Bad Robot HQ, where he hosted the U.S.-Ireland Alliance's annual Oscar Wilde Awards, The Daily Beast reported. Abrams added, "When I talk about inclusivity it's not excluding gay characters. It's about inclusivity. So, of course." Abrams, who also produced the upcoming 10 Cloverfield Lane, served as emcee for the event that honored Sarah Greene, Room director Lenny Abrahamson and late-night host James Corden.

In related news, original Star Wars cast member Mark Hamill ( who played Luke Skywalker ) told The Sun that his character's sexual orientation is up for interpretation, Vanity Fair noted. Hamill said, "...fans are writing and ask all these questions, 'I'm bullied in school... I'm afraid to come out.' They say to me, 'Could Luke be gay?' I'd say it is meant to be interpreted by the viewer... If you think Luke is gay, of course he is. You should not be ashamed of it. Judge Luke by his character, not by who he loves."

Star Wars: The Force Awakens has received 11 MTV Movie Award nominations, according to EW.com . Deadpool follows next with eight total noms, including Movie of the Year and Best Male Performance nods. The Force Awakens and Deadpool face off in Movie of the Year against Avengers: Age of Ultron, Creed, Jurassic World, and Straight Outta Compton, the last of which garnered four total nominations. The 2016 MTV Movie Awards will air on April 10, celebrating the show's 25th anniversary with hosts Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Kevin Hart.

Lady Gaga said she will be returning for the next installment of American Horror Story, Variety noted. Gaga made her American Horror Story debut as The Countess on season five ( "Hotel" ). She won a Golden Globe for her work on the show, created by Ryan Murphy, and called the win "one of the greatest moments of my life." Back in October, Murphy tweeted that he officially Gaga to come back for season six, describing her season-five work as "brilliant."

Sam Smith has said he's giving up Twitter just days after receiving immediate backlash from his Oscars acceptance speech for the Best Original Song Academy Award, TheWrap reported. "I'm logging off for a while," the singer tweeted. "Some Martinis shaken not stirred are definitely in order." Smith angered some when his song from Spectre, "Writing's on the Wall" beat out Lady Gaga—and then he upset some of the LGBT community when he misquoted Ian McKellen and suggested he was the first openly gay man to win an Oscar.

Supermodel Chrissy Teigen said that she has been attracted to women, according to Page Six. When Watch What Happens Live host Andy Cohen asked if she ever "swam in the lady pond," the wife of singer John Legend said, "Oh, maybe doggy-paddle. I don't know. Not full on swimming." Teigen has been married to Legend since 2013, and this April they're expecting their first child.

Singer Janelle Monae has landed the third lead alongside Taraji P. Henson and Octavia Spencer in the Fox 2000 drama Hidden Figures, TheWrap reported. The film is based on Margot Lee Shetterly's upcoming book Hidden Figures: The Story of the African-American Women Who Helped Win the Space Race, which will be published in September by HarperCollins.

Speaking of Monae, she, along with Selma director Ava DuVernay, Creed director Ryan Coogler, actor Jesse Williams ( Grey's Anatomy ), musician Stevie Wonder and comedian Hannibal Buress joined other prominent musicians and activists to raise more than $100,000 at a #JusticeForFlint event, A.V. Club reported. That's in addition to the money and bottled-water pledge drives DuVernay and athletes organized a few weeks ago. A crisis in Flint, Michigan, has left residents without drinkable water.

Queer bounce musician Big Freedia has been charged with a felony count of theft of federal funds, NOLA.com reported. Freedia—identified in court documents by her legal name of Freddie Ross Jr.—is accused of stealing from the Department of Housing and Urban Development between 2010 and 2014. She faces a maximum prison term of 10 years and fine of $250,000. Freedia's attorney, Tim Kappel, said he is negotiating a plea deal with the government for Freedia to pay restitution of $34,000.

Vogue editrix Anna Wintour has recruited her favorite designers to raise money for Hillary Clinton by offering T-shirts, Page Six noted. The Made for History collection, according to the Condé Nast artistic director, includes $45 T-shirts "by my friends Marc Jacobs, Tory Burch, [and] Maxwell Osborne and Dao-Yi Chow [of Public School]. ... I hope you'll take a moment to look through the collection and choose a piece that expresses your support for this incredible woman," Wintour emailed to supporters. "Together, we can all help her win."

ESPN Radio's Steve Mason used Atlanta Falcons NFL combine questions to come out as gay, according to Outsports. Talking about the Atlanta Falcons' questions about the sexual orientation of NFL prospect Eli Apple, Mason and co-host John Ireland engaged in a "mock" interview, with Ireland asking Mason about his attraction to men.

Pat Conroy, the South Carolina-based novelist whose works included best-sellers The Prince of Tides and The Great Santini, died March 4 at his home in Beaufort, South Carolina, according to TheWrap, which cites the Beaufort Gazette. He was 70 and had been battling pancreatic cancer. Conroy shared an Oscar nomination with Becky Johnston for the screenplay for director Barbra Streisand's 1991 screen adaptation of his 1986 best-seller The Prince of Tides. In a statement, Streisand said, "He was generous and kind, humble and loving … such a joy to work with. I was so honored that he entrusted his beautiful book to me."

LGBT netowrk Here TV announced the premiere of its first original game show, Modd Couples. The show, hosted by Emmy-nominated Here TV personality David Millbern and comedian Olivia Harewood, features two couples—one gay and one straight—battling it out over three rounds to win prizes. The Texas Supreme Court ruled that Gloria Trevi—described as "Mexico's Madonna"—can sue a Mexican television station in Texas after airing a segment in 2009 that contained multiple alleged defamatory statements about her, MySanAntonio.com reported. Trevi sued the Mexican television company TV Azteca, media group Publimax and news anchor Patricia Chapoy after the anchor allegedly made several slanderous statements about the singer during a 2009 piece about her previous sex scandals.

Dolly Parton is hitting the road, Entertainment Weekly noted. Billed as her biggest North American tour in 25 years, Parton will hit more than 60 cities in Canada and the U.S. throughout the tour's run. The country queen will play a bounty of selects from the course of her career, including greatest hits, new cuts from her forthcoming double-disc, Pure & Simple with Dolly Parton's Biggest Hits, and a medley of songs that haven't been heard live in decades.

The annual Broadway Backwards fundraising concert in New York has announced additional Broadway stars for its March 21 concert date, including two-time Tony Award winner Chita Rivera, Tony nominees Stephanie J. Block and Tony Sheldon, Danielle Brooks ( The Color Purple; Orange is the New Black ) and Laura Michelle Kelly ( Finding Neverland ), Playbill reported. They join the previously announced Tituss Burgess ( Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt; The Little Mermaid ), Len Cariou ( Sweeney Todd, TV's Blue Bloods ) and Andre De Shields ( Gotta Dance ).

Covert Affairs star Piper Perabo is set as the female lead opposite Daniel Sunjata in ABC's drama pilot Notorious, according to Deadline. The project, from Sony Pictures TV and Jeff Kwatinetz's The Firm, was inspired by the relationship between famed criminal attorney Mark Geragos and longtime Larry King Live executive producer Wendy Walker. Notorious follows the professional and personal relationship between charismatic attorney Jake Gregorian ( Sunjata ) and television producer Julia George ( Perabo ) as they attempt to control the media, the justice system and, ultimately, each other.

Zachary Quinto, who plays the role of Spock in the latest Star Trek films, told Stephen Colbert that actor Leonard Nimoy had a profound impact on his life, according to Time. Quinto said of Nimoy, "He was such a tremendous artist, but philanthropist and generous person, and so intelligent." Nimoy gave Spock life in the original Star Trek television series, reprising his role for cameos in the first two new films before passing away Feb. 27, 2015.

HBO is distancing itself from anti-gay comments that boxer Manny Pacquiao made as it prepares to show his April 9 fight against Timothy Bradley Jr., according to Outsports. HBO said in a statement, "We have an obligation to both fighters and, therefore, will proceed to produce and distribute that event. However, we felt it important to leave no uncertainty about our position on Mr. Pacquiao's recent comments toward the LGBTQ community. We consider them insensitive, offensive and deplorable. HBO has been a proud home to many LGBTQ stories and couldn't approach this event without clearly voicing our opinion."

The celebrity cast of the 22nd season of Dancing with the Stars has been revealed. Some of the celebrities will include Mischa Barton ( from TV's The O.C. ), sexually fluid America's Next Top Model winner Nyle DiMarco, Kim Fields, Geraldo Rivera, former football player Doug Flutie and onetime Donald Trump wife Marla Maples. The season starts March 21 on ABC.

New York City-based website dapperQ will present the first-ever queer style panel at South by Southwest ( SxSW ) during Sxstyle on March 11, a press release noted. The panel, titled "Queer Style: Visual Activism & Fashion's Frontier," will feature four prominent queer style experts who will explore queer style as a movement that creates positive social change and discuss queer style as a thriving economic business that is moving beyond trends to become a mainstay in the fashion industry. Panelists will include Anita Dolce Vita of dapperQ; Sonny Oram of Qwear; Leon Wu of Sharpe Suiting, and Aja Aguirre of Fit for a Femme.

In one of her first programming moves since becoming president of ABC Entertainment, Channing Dungey has given early renewals to many of the network's established series, Deadline reported. Some the shows getting renewals are Quantico, Modern Family, Grey's Anatomy, Scandal, Black-ish, The Bachelor, Shark Tank and How To Get Away with Murder. Nashville and Castle are on the bubble.

ABC confirmed that its late-night host Jimmy Kimmel would return to host the Primetime Emmy Award when it was the network's turn to broadcast the ceremony, on Sunday, Sept. 18, Deadline reported. This marks Kimmel's second time as host of the Emmys. Prior to 2016, he presided over the 64th Primetime Emmy Awards in 2012.

Tina Fey, while on Howard Stern's Sirius show, said she felt the Academy Awards focused too much on the issues this year, Page Six noted. "Being at the Oscars … Halfway through I was like, 'This is some real Hollywood bulls—t,'" she said. "Everyone's telling me, like, what to do and it was, like, people are yelling at me about rape and corporate greed, but really it's climate change, and I was like, 'Guys, pick a lane. Hey everyone, we're going to fix everything tonight. And also, you're all rich. Why are you yelling at me about corporate greed? You're all so rich.'"

Girls star Lena Dunham has been admitted to hospital for surgery after an ovarian cyst ruptured, the BBC reported. Dunham recently posted on Facebook that she was taking time out due to her diagnosis of endometriosis. Endometriosis is the presence of uterus tissue in other parts of the body; it affects around one in 10 women.

Kim Kardashian hit back at Bette Midler, Chloe Grace Moretz and Piers Morgan after the trio dinged the reality star for posting a naked selfie, EW.com noted. For example, Midler wrote, "Kim Kardashian tweeted a nude selfie today. If Kim wants us to see a part of her we've never seen, she's gonna have to swallow the camera." Kardashian responded, "Hey @BetteMidler I know it's past your bedtime but if you're still up and reading this send nudes."

Empire star Trai Byers—who plays Taraji P. Henson and Terrence Howard's son Andre on the show—reportedly wants out of the Fox show, Page Six noted. "Trai wants out," said an insider. "He feels that he studied at Yale and he's a 'true thespian.' ... The character is beneath him. He has an idea of himself as being this big Shakespearean actor." However, another source said, "It's the last week of filming the season, and he's not quitting, nor is he being fired, for now."

The film story of a young Barack Obama trying to find his way in 1981 New York City has found its two leads, The Hollywood Reporter noted. Devon Terrell and Anya Taylor-Joy ( The Witch ) will star in Barry, an indie drama being directed by Vikram Gandhi. Barry explores the time when Obama was a college student in New York City and forged key relationships, including with a fellow student ( Taylor-Joy ).

Jennifer Lopez has signed a new recording contract with Epic Records, the same label that longtime rival Mariah Carey calls home, according to a Page Six item that cites Billboard. Lopez and Carey were both signed to Sony Music, which owns Epic, in the early 2000s. It's long been rumored that their beef started when Carey's ex, Tommy Mottola, took samples Carey used on her Glitter album and gave them to Lopez.

A tunnel honoring the late actor/comedian Robin Williams has finally gotten its signs, KTLA reported. The tunnel—located in Marin County, California, on the U.S. 101 freeway just north of the Golden Gate Bridge—had its new name approved last summer by the California state Senate. Williams used to live in Marin County.

A judge in Atlanta granted a news media request to unseal the autopsy report for Bobbi Kristina Brown, Page Six reported. Media lawyers argued the September sealing order violated the state and federal constitutions and court rules because it was entered without public notice and without an opportunity for a hearing. The Fulton County Medical Examiner's office in Atlanta released a statement saying that Brown's face being immersed in water, along with drug intoxication ( a combination known as Lobar pneumonia ), led to her death. Brown had marijuana, alcohol, benzoylecgonine ( a cocaine-related substance ), benzodiazepines ( medications used to treat anxiety ) and morphine in her system, TheWrap noted.

Kris Jenner might be confused by Caitlyn Jenner's openness to dating men—but she said she supports her ex, according to Page Six. The reality-TV matriarch discussed the possibility of Caitlyn, who she was married to for 22 years as Bruce, moving on with another man during a pre-recorded interview airing on the March 1 episode of Ellen. "Confusing, for sure," Kris said, "But you know, I think that I really want her to be happy and be really comfortable in all the things that she says she wasn't, you know, her true authentic self for most of her life and knew when she was four that she had felt like that."
