Netflix has canceled Sense8 after two seasons, The Hollywood Reporter noted. Netflix's Cindy Holland said the gender- and genre-bending show was "everything we and the fans dreamed it would be: bold, emotional, stunning, kickass and outright unforgettable. ... We thank Lana, Lilly, Joe and Grant for their vision and the entire cast and crew for their craftsmanship and commitment." Other Netflix series to be canceled include Marco Polo, Lilyhammer, Hemlock Grove, Bloodline and A&E pickup Longmire.
Jean-Claude LaMarrethe executive producer of the Vivica A. Fox-hosted show Vivica's Black Magichas filed a lawsuit accusing Fox of libel, slander and contract interference, Page Six noted. The show ran into trouble when Fox, in a promotional interview, seemed to indicate that it was not intended for gay men; the incident caused a bitter split between them, and the two then launched rival touring shows based on the TV serieswith Fox allegedly launching some words about LaMarre's show. Shawn Balentine, who says he's Hollywood's first out stuntman, announced plans to release a five-minute video tribute to the victims of 2016's Orlando Pulse Nightclub shooting, a press release noted. Produced by Neal Baer, the tribute video will edit together video clips from 17 groups of professional stunt performers and athletes from around the world who volunteered their time.
Singer-actress Brandy was rushed to the hospital from LAX airport after falling unconscious on her Delta flight, Page Six reported. "The flight crew of Delta flight 763 from LAX to New York's JFK International Airport returned to the gate, prior to departure, after a customer fell ill on board," a spokesman for Delta Air Lines told us in a statement. "Medical personnel met the flight and transported the customer to a local hospital. Flight 763 departed for New York roughly 45 minutes behind schedule."
Actor Alan Cumming is worried about a former co-stara chimpanzee named Tonkaand he's asking a Missouri facility housing the animal to move Tonka and other chimps to an accredited sanctuary, Page Six noted. In a letter to the Missouri Primate Foundation, Cumming said he believed Tonka ( Cumming's co-star in the 1997 movie Buddy ) was sent to a California sanctuary after filming but recently learned the chimp was at the nonprofit's facility in Festus, south of St. Louis. Cumming alleged Tonka is housed in a cage without "meaningful outdoor access" or the ability to form relationships with other chimps.

WGN America is officially out of the high-end original scripted series business, Deadline noted. As expected, the cable network cancelled acclaimed drama Underground after two seasons. It follows the recent cancellation of fellow drama Outsiders as WGN America is changing its programming course, while its parent Tribune is preparing for its acquisition by Sinclair.
