Chaz Bono is heading to the daytime soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful, according to People. The special guest star will be playing a minister in episodes airing March 31 and April 1. The author and activist was recently seen on TV during a catch-up with Oprah Winfrey on Saturday's Oprah: Where Are They Now?, where he opened up about how transitioning helped him overcome a negative self-image.

Johnny Weir experiences the B-side of fame in the new episode of E!'s digital comedy series "Hashtaggers" when he realizes he's the type of celebrity people can recognize but don't really know, according to NewNowNext.com . The retired Olympic figure skater phones up his "affordable social media agency" to rectify the problem once he's mistaken for Pee-Wee Herman in a cafe. "I've realized too much time goes by between skating events and red-carpet events, so I think we need to do something to keep me in the public eye," he says.

In an interview with HuffPost Live, out E! News personality Ross Mathews recalled the moment he first learned to love himself. "I remember specifically being a kid and thinking, 'This is different. This is different than other people,'" he said, gesturing to his body. "You can either hate...the man boobs, and the high voice, or you can be all in." "There's a reason when you take a walk on the beach you pick up the rock that looks a little different, because they're more interesting," added Mathews, who now also co-hosts Hollywood Today Live.

Barry Manilow has been hospitalized for complications following emergency oral surgery, Page Six reported. "Following a triumphant sold out concert in Memphis, Barry Manilow was rushed back to Los Angeles due to complications from emergency oral surgery that Manilow had on Monday," a statement on the singer's Facebook page read. Manilow is in the middle of his "One Last Time-One Last Tour" show with stops in North America and the United Kingdom.

Singer Rihanna didn't perform at the Feb. 15 Grammy Awards at her doctor's insistence, TheWrap noted. The singer was forced to bow out of the performance after her doctor put her on vocal rest, with a publicist saying "she was at risk of hemorrhaging her vocal cords. "The antibiotics she has been on for three days did not kill the infection adequately; therefore, she [could not] perform safely."

Grammy insiders are reportedly upset that Lauryn Hill was a no-show for her performance with The Weeknd after rehearsing with the singer earlier on Feb. 15, Page Six noted. "All they said was she was a no-show, but I believe it was some kind of disagreement with the production," said a source. The Weeknd performed solo near the beginning of the show.

SIRIUSXM has discontinued its LGBTQ channel SIRIUSXM OUTQ, according to Out.com . Last June, the network bid farewell to the Derek and Romaine show after 12 years. Now, funnyman Frank DeCaro's show is being forced to end after the same amount of time; also, although Morning Jolt host Larry Flick is staying aboard, the network axed his sidekick Keith Price and are moving Flick to its EW Radio channel. In addition, even some non-OutQ gays are being shown the door: Lance Bass' show on Radio Andy ( Andy Cohen's channel there ) is also going.

Adele told Vogue about a problem she has had since slimming down, according to Page Six. "Now I fit into normal, off-the-shelf clothes—which is a really big problem for me!" the "Hello" singer said. "I was trying to get some stamina for my tour. So I lost a bit of weight," she said. She's quit smoking, cut down on alcohol and avoids a number of foods to protect her voice. The tour kicks off in February and ends in November.

Speaking of weight loss, out singer Sam Smith sparked major concerns over his health this week after the singer shared a nearly unrecognizable photo of himself on Instagram, according to Radar Online. Although the star has steadily dropped significant weight over the last few months, this most recent snap had fans up in arms over his well-being. Other fans came to Smith's defense, however, writing, "You look great. Don't listen to anyone who says you need to be thicker or thinner. You're perfect when you're happy."

Out singer/songwriter St. Vincent ( real name: Annie Clark ) introduced the St. Vincent signature guitar she designed for Ernie Ball Music Man that's meant for women, Esquire.com noted. Clark designed the St. Vincent with a thin waist; as she wrote on Instagram, "There is room for a breast. Or two." Aside from functionality, the design combines a retro aesthetic with a '67 Corvette color scheme. The model will be released in March.

American Idol season 14 finalist Rayvon Owen comes out in his music-video debut, Instinct Magazine noted. Owen, who placed fourth in the reality competition, kisses a man ( Shane Bitney Crone of Bridegroom ) in the closing scene of his new video, "Can't Fight It." But actually, the scene nearly didn't make it into the final video, as the director originally envisioned the singer kissing a girl. Owen told Billboard, "When I read that treatment, I knew I couldn't be dishonest. Not that I ever lied to people in the past, but the truth had been omitted. I felt like I was doing a disservice because I've always been an honest, loving person."

Puerto Rican songstress Kany Garcia has revealed that she is lesbian and is in a relationship with her personal trainer, Jocelyn Troche, according to Fox News Latino. "What a perfect time to open my heart and show who I really am, on the weekend of lovers ( Valentine's Day )," the singer posted on Instagram with a photo of the couple. The singer-songwriter, guitarist, producer and winner of two Latin Grammys noted on the social network that "what is good is not to be hidden but to be shared."

Leonardo DiCaprio's performance in The Revenant won him a Best Actor BAFTA ( British Academy Film Awards ) Feb. 14, The Guardian noted. The Revenant won five awards in total including best film. The lesbian-themed film Carol, despite nine nominations, came up empty-handed—including in the Best Actress, Supporting Actress, Cinematography and Adapted Screenplay categories, PinkNews added.

Ryan Reynolds has said that he "loved" that his Deadpool character is pansexual, Gay Star Times noted. On getting a male love interest for the sequel to the hit movie Deadpool, Reynolds said, "I certainly wouldn't be the guy standing in the way of that. That would be great." Producer Simon Kinberg said the filmmakers wanted to honor the character's sexuality in the first movie and were definitely open to showing Deadpool with a boyfriend in a future installment.

A long-time Hollywood executive, who happens to be both Latino and openly gay, is giving a big thumbs down to the Academy's handling of the #OscarsSoWhite controversy, The New York Daily News reported. In an open letter to Academy of Motion Pictures Arts & Sciences president Cheryl Boone Isaacs published by the Hollywood Reporter, longtime publicity veteran Mark Reina slammed efforts to take away his voting privileges. The Academy recently announced several changes in an effort to increase diversity—including the declaration that new members' voting status would be guaranteed only for 10 years, renewed only if the new member remains active in the industry or if they have completed three successive membership periods.

In a new interview with Audioboom, 74-year-old actress Miriam Margolyes—best known as Professor Sprout in the Harry Potter series—opened up about the extreme lengths her parents took to deal with her burgeoning sexuality, according to Queerty. She said, "They made me swear on the Bible in the drawing room, in the most formal way, that I would never sleep with a woman again. Extraordinary really, as my father was a doctor and in many ways he was an enlightened man especially around racism. But about homosexuality … never!"

YouTube personality Joey Graceffa has introduced his boyfriend to the world, People.com noted. Graceffa is dating Daniel Preda, a creative producer who has made plenty of appearances on his YouTube channel, most memorably in his talked-about coming out music video; he's the one Graceffa kissed at the end. Fittingly, the two first met online, after Graceffa spotted a photo of Preda on his Instagram's "Explore" page.

Frozen is making its way to Broadway, according to a People item that cites The New York Times. Disney announced it has plans to create a stage adaptation of the fan favorite, set to hit the big apple in spring of 2018, making the film the ninth musical adaptation for Broadway from Disney's New York-based theater division. The show will reportedly utilize many of the same people who worked on the film, including the same writers who came up with the music and scripts.

Ahead of the release of his movie Deadpool, Ryan Reynolds has been named the sexiest dad alive by People. Reynolds, 39, said he has no problem "being surrounded by estrogen" as the only man in the house. In fact, it's what the star said he secretly hoped for when he first found out actress wife Blake Lively, 28, was pregnant.

David Bowie's longtime hairstylist, Teddy Antolin, has passed away, according to Page Six. "It is with sadness that we report the news that Teddy Antolin has passed away," a Facebook post read. "Teddy was a former hairdresser for David on several tours, video shoots and photo sessions. He will be missed." According to People, it was the hairstylist who introduced Bowie to supermodel Iman, whom he was married to for the final 24 years of his life.

Kanye West is once again causing drama online, Page Six noted. The rapper declared "BILL COSBY INNOCENT !!!!!!!!!!" via Twitter, with fans encouraging him to not go down this route. A number of fans even called for West to deactivate his Twitter account. Cosby is embroiled in multiple lawsuits against women who claim the comedian drugged and sexually assaulted them. Most recently, a judge ruled that one sexual-assault case will move forward and could land him in prison for 10 years.

Donald Trump and Univision have settled their lawsuit over the Spanish-language broadcaster's elected to not air Miss Universe or Miss USA, TheWrap noted. Univision dumped the pageants after the GOP presidential candidate—who used to own the Miss Universe Organization—made disparaging remarks about Mexican immigrants. In late June, Trump sued Univision for damages over the decision, which he believed to be "in excess of $500 million."

Wendy Williams could have been a cop on E!'s Fashion Police, but she had no interest in all the traveling, according to The New York Post. "Melissa [Rivers] had asked me about 'Fashion Police,' personally," Williams told The Post. "But the problem is we're live out of New York. I can't be flying back and forth [to Los Angeles]." Williams has debuted her own red-carpet fashion panel to comment on award-show style.

Star soccer player Hope Solo has said the Zika-virus outbreak throughout the Americas and the Caribbean has given her second thoughts about attending the Olympics in Rio later this year, The New York Daily New noted. "If I had to make the choice today, I wouldn't go," Hope Solo, the goalkeeper told SI.com . The mosquito-borne virus causes symptoms such as rashes, fever and conjunctivitis, and can also be transmitted via sexual activity and through blood transfusions.

Sharon Osbourne has apologized for making comments about reality star Teresa Giudice being raped in prison, according to a Page Six item that cites The Daily Mail. "We've had a lot of people that have been on social media online saying I shouldn't made the comment about rape and the thing that in the context that it was used," Osbourne said on her show, The Talk. "Really, people who know me know that I would never mean harm by saying that to people who have been in that situation." Giudice has released a memoir, Turning the Tables: From Housewife to Inmate and Back Again.

Target Corp. Grammy-winning superstar Gwen Stefani collaborated to produce the first music video ever created on live television, a press release stated. The action unfolded live on CBS as part of a four-minute commercial break during the 58th Annual Grammy Awards Feb. 15. Target's campaign supports Stefani's third studio album, This Is What the Truth Feels Like, which will be released March 18 on Interscope Records.

Vanity—a pop star ( real name: Denise Matthews ) who had a long association with Prince and battled kidney failure for decades following a near-fatal overdose—has died at age 57, according to People. Fellow musician Sheila E. confirmed the news on Twitter just before the Grammy Awards began. Vanity's best-known hit was 1982's "Nasty Girl," which was produced by Prince and performed by Vanity 6, the all-girl female pop group she fronted.

Aaron Sorkin will write a new stage adaptation of To Kill a Mockingbird for a Broadway run during the 2017-18 season Variety noted. Bartlett Sher has signed on to direct the show, produced by Scott Rudin. Sorkin and Rudin have worked together previously on the films Steve Jobs—currently up for acting Oscars for Michael Fassbender and Kate Winslet—and The Social Network.

Time and Again: The Ultimate a-ha—a compilation of the Norwegian trio's greatest hits, as well as a selection of rare and unreleased remixes—will be out March 18, courtesy of Rhino, a press release stated. Highlights include the group's signature number-one smash "Take On Me," the Top 20 hit "The Sun Always Shines On T.V.," the Top 20 dance chart hit "Cry Wolf" and the James Bond theme "The Living Daylights."

Former reality-show star Will Wikle ( CBS' Big Brother, Bravo's Battle of the Network Reality Stars, and was the host of Logo's Round Trip Ticket ) is teaming with CockyBoys to star in a film that he's co-producing with the adult-entertainment company entitled The Stillest Hour, according to The Huffington Post. The out personality ( who was also in the 2008 film Another Gay Sequel: Gays Gone Wild! ) said, "I was always offered to do porn, but it never crossed my mind as something that was right for me with my comfort level and my sexuality. I never wanted the project to be porn." However, Wilke added he realized he could team with CockyBoys director Jake Jaxson and RJ Sebastian to produce the film The Stillest Hour will be released exclusively on CockyBoys.com this spring.

Provincetown, Massachusetts, will be the site of the 2016 Provincetown Coastal Rowing Regatta on June 4, becoming the second U.S. destination to host the competition, following its debut in Pensacola, Florida, in 2015, according to a press release. The very pro-LGBT Provincetown is one of "America's Happiest Seaside Towns," according to Coastal Living magazine.

Days Of Our Lives, which marked its 50th anniversary this season, has been renewed for next season, Deadline reported. The pickup—which may include an option for an additional year—keeps NBC in the daytime soap game, as "Days" is the last remaining afternoon drama on its schedule. In addition to Days of Our Lives, Sony TV also produces CBS' daytime drama The Young and the Restless.
