Caitlyn Jenner poses with the gold medal she won with a stunning decathlon victory at the 1976 Montreal Olympic Games on the new cover of Sports Illustrated, according to People. The cover marked the first time she had the medal around her neck in 40 years. Jenner, who keeps the medal in her nail drawer, revealed that she used to let her children take the medal to show and tell in school.

Matthew McConaughey is heading back to school this fall to teach a course on filmmaking at the University of Texas at Austin, Page Six revealed. The university says in a social media post that the Oscar winner will teach at his alma mater alongside Hunger Games director Gary Ross. McConaughey has won an Oscar for his role in the AIDS movie Dallas Buyers Club.

In a segment for the daytime show The View, Clay Aiken and regular co-host Raven-Symone went to North Carolina to talk to locals about their opinions on the anti-LGBT law HB2, LGBTQ Nation reported. At a diner in Sanford, the two found that the majority of individuals they spoke to opposed the bill, while around 30 percent "had concerns about sharing the bathroom with transgender people." In addition, Madeline Goss, a transgender individual living in North Carolina, said that people make her feel "as uncomfortable and unwelcome as they could" using the men's restroom and now lives in "a climate of fear."

RuPaul's Drag Race star Latrice Royale got on one knee and proposed to boyfriend Christopher Hamblin at R Place in Seattle's Capital Hill, NewNowNext.com noted. The diva admitted she didn't put much stock in marriage, "but, bitch, I've had a change of heart!" Hamblin said yes and the two kissed in front of a cheering crowd.

Openly gay Olympic silver medalist Gus Kenworthy ( freeskiing ) has been nominated for an ESPY award in the Best Male Action Sports Athlete category, NewNowNext noted. "It's an incredible honor," Kenworthy tells NewNowNext. "It's so hard to get nominated—you're not just up against other freeskiers, but everyone in action sports." His fellow nominees include motorcross racer Ryan Dungery, skateboarders Nyjah Huston and Pedro Barros, and snowboarder Mark McMorris. Randy Harrison—who played Justin on Showtime's Queer as Folk—has some thoughts on what should have happened to Justin and his boyfriend, Brian ( Gale Harold ) once the series ended, according to NewNowNext, citing The Daily Xtra. "I would hope that they wouldn't [have got back together], just for Justin's sake," Harrison said. "I just feel like if you're 17 and you start sleeping with a 30-year-old, your development's going to be thwarted if you never go out on your own for a significant amount of time." Harrison, 38, also dropped some hints about a possible Queer as Folk reboot, revealing that the original cast are on board for it and that he hoped issues involving technology would be included.

Miley Cyrus posted a selfie on Instagram wearing a T-shirt with the slogan "Make America Gay Again," LGBTQ Nation noted. The image went viral, with more than 847,000 likes. The shirt is from American Apparel, although the Human Rights Campaign also sells the shirt at its online store.

Hamilton creator Lin-Manuel Miranda, who is leaving his 11-time Tony-winning Broadway smash, hit the studio with Jennifer Lopez for benefit single "Love Make the World Go Round," USA Today noted. The collaboration, which the duo teased on Twitter July 4, was recorded for the victims of last month's Orlando shooting. An official release date has not yet been revealed for "Love," which helps raise money for Somos Orlando, a project that will "address the long-term needs for mental health services that are culturally competent and bilingual," according to the Hispanic Federation's website.

Idris Elba, Betty Buckley, Nate Parker, Marlon Wayans, Vivica A. Fox, America Ferrera, Brie Larson, Freida Pinto, Patti LuPone and Alicia Vikander were among those invited to join the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences as part of a new diverse class of 2016, according to USA Today. Academy president Cheryl Boone Isaacs announced the 683 invitees; the new class, a record in size, is 46-percent female and 41-percent people of color.

Provincetown is unveiling some big stars for its summer season, Broadway World reported. At Town Hall, Cheyenne Jackson sang on July 3; also coming up at Town Hall, Vanessa Williams will kick off Bear Week with Seth Rudetsky at piano on July 11. The Broadway @ Town Hall concert series will help raise funds for the Tyler Clementi Foundation. At The Art House, longtime P-town favorite Varla Jean Merman debuts her new show, A Little White Music, through Sept. 3.

Orange Is The New Black co-star Danielle Brooks, 26, aired her annoyance with airline personnel who comment on her flying arrangements, The Huffington Post reported. "I hate when gate agents look at me like I've never flown first class and say 'You're in first class, lucky you!' Really tho," said Brooks, who plays Taystee. Twitter users were outraged at the treatment of Brooks, a Tony nominee for The Color Purple—although some suggested that race may not have played any part.

This year marks the 30th anniversary of the Madonna album True Blue. One of the best-selling albums of all time, True Blue is RIAA-certified seven-times platinum, with 7 million copies sold in the United States and an estimated 25 million copies sold worldwide, according to a press release. True Blue had five Top Five singles, including "True Blue," "La Isla Bonita," "Live to Tell," "Papa Don't Preach" and "Open Your Heart."

Michael Cimino—who won Oscars as director and a producer of The Deer Hunter before Heaven's Gate destroyed his career and sped up the demise of 60-year-old United Artists—has died, Variety reported. His birthday is usually cited as Feb. 3, 1939, though many facts about Cimino's life, including his birthdate, were shrouded in conflicting information. A few of the other films he directed included The Sicilian, Thunderbolt and Lightfoot, and Year of the Dragon.

The Hollywood Walk of Fame will be honoring bilingual superstar Selena Quintanilla—known as the queen of tejano music—in 2017, E! Online noted. Jennifer Lopez starred as Quintanilla ( who, at 23, was killed by the founder of her first fan club in 1995 ) in a biopic. John Legend, Hall & O, Gustavo Dudamel, Eva Longoria, Ice Cube, 'N Sync, Amy Adams, Dwayne Johnson, New Edition, and many more are also set to receive their own star.

Lady Gaga, 30, revealed in an Instagram post that she had obtained her driver's license, E! News reported. The singer shared a photo of her behind the wheel of what appears to be a used Ford F-150 SVT Lightning pickup truck, with a female friend in the passenger's seat. "Thelma and Puhleaaaze ( And yes I FINALLY got my license after years of driving w an adult present and a learners permit )," she wrote. "I'M FREE...Rollin w the homies."

Moschino has settled the copyright lawsuit filed by Brooklyn graffiti artist -Joseph Tierney, aka Rime, over designs used by the fashion brand on Katy Perry's 2015 Met Gala gown, Page Six revealed. The label's creative director and designer Jeremy Scott had filed motions to dismiss, claiming he "had no role whatsoever in the actual design and selection" of images for the gown, and he called street art "an unapologetic act of vandalism and trespass." The graphics used on the dress appeared on Tierney's 2012 mural in Detroit called "Vandal Eyes."

Drew Barrymore is in talks with Warner Bros. for a major push into TV—possibly including a deal for a talk show syndicated by Warners unit Telepictures Productions that would premiere as soon as fall 2017, TheWrap revealed. The negotiations are at an early stage and may not result in a deal, an insider said, and it's possible that any show that does result might take the form of a reality show rather than a traditional talk outing.

Bill Cosby's lawyers will ask a judge to order the accuser in his criminal sex assault case to refund the money he paid to settle her lawsuit a decade ago, according to Page Six. Cosby argues that accuser Andrea Constand, an out lesbian, violated their confidential agreement by speaking to police who reopened the case last year. Cosby denies charges that he drugged and molested Constand in 2004.

Two doctors who treated Prince are being investigated regarding if they wrote prescriptions for the megastar or helped him acquire drugs before his overdose death, Page Six noted. The FBI, DEA and the Carver County District Attorney's Office in Minnesota are probing primary care physician Dr. Michael Schulenberg and Dr. Howard Kornfeld, a California addiction expert, TMZ reported.

Jorge Ilich, a 26-year-old Venezuelan model who worked for such companies as Andrew Christian, has died in authorities are calling a suicide, Queerty noted. According to CBS, Ilich plunged from a seventh-floor condominium at The Flamingo Towers in Miami Beach. However, El Nuevo Herald reported that Jose Gregorio Navas, the uncle of the victim, said that Ilich was fine professionally and economically, so the family believed he had no reason to commit suicide.
