Early voting info
Early voting for the Feb. 24 municipal election will take place Feb. 9-21.Voters registered in the City of Chicago may use any early voting site in the city, regardless of where the voters live.
Voters don't need a reason or excuse to use early voting; however, voters do need to present government-issued photo identification.
Ballots cast in early voting are final. After casting ballots in early voting, voters may not return to amend, change or undo a ballot for any reason. It is a felony to vote more than onceor to attempt to vote more than oncein the same election.
All 51 early voting sites will be open Monday through Saturday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday hours ( 9 a.m.-3 p.m. ) will be offered at five regional sites: Chicago Board of Elections, 69 W. Washington St.; Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center, 4314 S. Cottage Grove Ave.; Mount Greenwood Park, 3721 W. 111th St.; West Side Learning Center, 4624 W. Madison St.; and Welles Park, 2333 W. Sunnyside Ave.

46th Ward forum on Feb. 15
Organizing Neighborhoods for Equality: Northside ( ONE Northside ) will host a 46th Ward candidates forum on Sunday, Feb. 15, 2-4 p.m., at Alternatives, Inc, 4730 N. Sheridan Rd.
The free forum is open to the public
Candidates Amy Crawford and Denise Davis are confirmed to participate. Ald. James Cappleman had not confirmed his attendance as of the press deadline.
Of interest to Windy City Times readers is that Crawford and Cappleman are openly gay.
