Duncan receives arts academy award
2019-02-12

On Feb. 9, longtime choreographer/teacher Randy Duncan was honored with The Chicago Academy for the Arts Faculty Legacy Award during the Academy Showcase at The Athenaeum Theatre. In addition, Mayor Rahm Emanuel proclaimed Feb. 9 ( Showcase Day ) "Randy Duncan Day" in Chicago.

The annual Academy Showcase is a community-wide celebration featuring top work from each of the facility's arts departments.

Duncan, the dance chair, is a three-time recipient of Chicago's prestigious Ruth Page Award for outstanding choreographer of the year.
