2019-02-15

Both locations of Urban Village Church ( UVC )—at 1407 E. 60th St. and 1543 W. Division St. ( Chopin Theater )—will hold drag services on Sunday, Feb. 17, at 10:30 a.m.

The South Side site will feature a service with sermon featuring drag performers, plus a drag Bible story. The Wicker Park site will have a drag worship service.

UVC is hosting this event as the third of its four-part sermon series on gender identity, in which the church seeks to explore how gender is constructed, performed and enforced in both the Bible and Western society. See UrbanVillageChurch.org .
