Chicago's official gay neighborhood may soon be home to the city's first gay hotel.
Parkview Developers is aiming to open a "straight-friendly" boutique hotel in the heart of Boystown, modeled after its The Out NYC in New York.
According to Ian Reisner of Park Developers, the 112-room, hotel is coming to Lakeview in 2015.
The 4-star hotel will include a spa, gym, conference/meeting spaces, a restaurant, a rooftop bar and lounge, and an enclosed courtyard.
Reisner said that Parkview Developers is in the process of seeking investors.
The hotel would be located between Sidetrack and Minibar, on the 3300 block of N. Halsted, with possible access to both bars through the hotel.
According to Lakeview Patch, Lakeview Triangle Neighbors Association will host a meeting with developers on the proposal on Thursday, April 11 at 7 p.m. at the 19th Dist. Police Station, 850 W. Addison St.
