DINING Big Star brunch, Daisies option, Drumbar cocktails

—Big Star, 3640 N. Clark St., is now serving brunch. The menu—created by Executive Chef/Partner Paul Kahan and Brand Chef de Cuisine Julie Warpinski—includes items such as chorizo mulas made with house-made corn tortillas, fluffy scrambled eggs, pinto beans, salsa chipotle and queso chihuahua; griddled avocado huarache, a masa cake topped in grilled queso adasero, crema and spicy salsa macha; and others. —Daisies, 2523 N. Milwaukee Ave., has a "FEED ME" option. Daisies is letting guests put their trust in its staff by bringing a variety of seasonal menu highlights, all to be convivially shared by the table. The FEED ME menu is available for dinner on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays for $45 per person. Guests can add on beverage pairings for an additional $25 per person. See www.daisieschicago.com .

—Drumbar ( the speakeasy-style bar atop of the Raffaello Hotel Chicago ) has a line-up of hot cocktails. They include ( among others ) the Meyer Lemon Vodka Martini, with Meyer lemon-infused Grey Goose Vodka, Fino sherry, Cap Corse Blanc Quinquina, olive winter citrus and a Frnech aperitif paired together; and an Apple Whiskey Sour, with Very Old Barton bourbon, Novo Fogo Tanager Cachaca, Fuji apple, cardamaro, lemon-fresh orchard fruit with a Bourbon backbone and a touch of Brazilian sugar cane. Also, Drumbar offers happy-hour specials Monday through Friday from 5-7 p.m. featuring $8 select glasses of wine, $8 signature cocktail of the day and $5 select beers. See www.drumbar.com .

—Kings & Convicts Brewing Co. has announced plans to open its second brewery in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin. The 48,000-square-foot facility will house a large production brew-house, taproom, restaurant and event space. The taproom will seat 200 people and include a separate event space that will be able to accommodate private parties for groups of up to 225. —Stan's Donuts & Coffee has launched a Rishi Tea partnership. To celebrate the launch, the donut destination is coining Tuesday, Jan. 29, "Tea Party Tuesday." All Stan's guests will receive a free 12-ounce hot tea with a purchase. The new tea menu includes flavors like the lively Black Limon, health-boosting Matcha Super Green and warming Turmeric Ginger, as well as Jasmine Green, English Breakfast, Earl Grey, Chamomile Medley and Guayusa Cacao. —urbanbelly and Chef Bill Kim will bring back their event, Ramenfest, 12-3 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 17, at 1400 W. Randolph St. This year's participants include chefs from restaurants such as Oriole, Smyth + The Loyalist, Somerset, Aba, Monteverde, Lula Café, Honey Butter Fried Chicken and more.
