CHICAGO (January 2012) — Connections for Abused Women and their Children (CAWC), a Chicago organization committed to ending domestic violence, will host its 26th Annual Spring GalaSounds of Silence on Saturday, March 10 from 6—11 p.m. in the Crystal Ballroom of the Hyatt Regency Chicago (151 E. Wacker Dr.). This year's gala commemorates 35 years of CAWC's exceptional services to the Chicago area in helping thousands of victims and their children rebuild their lives and renew their hopes for violence free futures.
The black tie optional event, presented by Discovery Clothing Company, will feature a cocktail hour with silent auction and mystery wine raffle, followed by a seated dinner, live auction and dancing. This year, CAWC will present its Champion Award to Adams Street Partners.
CAWC brings 35 years of experience to its mission. Founded by four Chicago women concerned about domestic violence, CAWC has a long commitment to serving the women and children of Chicago. Proceeds from this event will go towards serving CAWC's four program areas:Greenhouse Shelter, Hospital Crisis Intervention Project, Humboldt Park Outreach Program and Domestic Violence Services at Haymarket Center.
Corporate sponsorships are available for this event ranging from $3,000 to $5,000, which includes a table for eight. Individual ticket prices begin at $250, and VIP tickets can be purchased for $500 a piece.
